This season didn't have the pneuma of seasons past. I guess it's the Bible Belt-feel that I've grown accustomed to, whereas this season felt empty, and more like an emulation of sorts.

great season. i live a couple of blocks from laney so might go to a game whenever/if games open back up to the public.
i loved how they went over the history of oakland, the changes it's going through and the struggles it brings. another thing is coach beam is your typical oakland resident. he's liberal, down to earth, want what's best for his players and really loves the city. makes me proud to be a born and raised bay area resident. i hope they get a second season.

laney is a small school and recruit locally while buddy and JB were getting former D1 players who were looking for a second chance to get back into D1 and recruited nationally. they're just on a different level program wise compared to laney.
