How long did it take you to get to this level?

I can’t say - I’ve been fluent in Portuguese for about 4 years now. Took a good 2 years but aside from highly technical things were I don’t know the definition. I’m pretty much native level now so it’s time to expand.

Ta maluco rapa @Afrodroid ?

Was it daily study to get to that level of proficiency? Did you join language groups?

Just curious to your study and practice methods.

Thread hasn’t been active for a while but I started my Japanese learning journey recently. :ehh:

Found a Pimsleur archive that has Japanese 1-3. Not rushing through it and I’ll listen to lessons at least twice before moving on.

Yeah it’s not the most exciting but so far it’s effective with the repetition. Going to supplement it with Anki & Readle. Once I get more comfortable I’ll try iTalki with a private tutor.

I started back and I'm using chatgpt to help create lesson plans around words and then using Quizlet to convert them into digital flashcards. Im surprised it even has audio, so I can actually just try to listen as well

So is everyone just using duo lingo to learn languages? What are the options. I speak English and Swahili. Some of my native language Dholuo. So IF I am to do this. I did grasp Spanish so should complete that journey. I think French will be good. Also improving in my native language.
