I know it's a much more niche (cac) sport and all, but apparently it's an open secret that the NHL has already decided to expand to Vegas by 2017-18, so this doesn't strike me as total bullshyt. I guess team owners are willing to look past the obvious conflicts of interest in hopes of more cash (shocking, right?). And if any NFL team could do it and be successful, the Raiders would be my pick.

10 years ago I would of agreed with you.... But right now the country is becoming more and more liberal in terms of gambling...the NFL already has teams in States where there are casinos and where weed is legal...If the proposed 1.2 billion stadium is built and it looks like it will be then exceptions will made for Vegas to have a franchise...the NHL is already coming to Vegas and the NBA isn't far behind
on one hand thats what Id say

on other hand, money rules the world, especially today, so I dont know...its unlikely but I can see it happening if enough money can be made

Even if they were to look at the short term of a stadium being built etc. They would essentially leave Oakland/The entire east bay (I'll pretend like the Niners ain't down in San Jose and give them SF, but it's not the same), which is growing like crazy right now, without an NFL squad creating another LA situation aka a massive market with no NFL presence. Mark's best shot was going to LA and the fact that he wasn't even close to getting the votes let's everyone know how the NFL feels about him owning a team or this team moving out of this region. They would literally turn the entire upper portion of the bay area into a NBA/MLB mainstay. That's not how you stay at the top of the game and I bet Silver is over in his office just WAITING for the Raiders to move just like ole boy that owns the A's. Both of them would be on Harbor Bay helping them pack.

I will acknowledge that I don't know the entire situation regarding mark's failure to get a stadium built up there ...it seems CRAZY that he can't get a deal put together to get one built...I think most fans including me would like for the raiders to be in Oakland where they belong AND maybe youre right about the NFL and the Bay ...the demographics point to the NFL keeping 2 franchises up there...but as a Vegas born and raised raiders fan if they absolutely HAD to move it would be a dream come true if they come to SIN CITY...its a match made in heaven baby...and the money is there....I still think it's a 50/50 proposition tho

Plus if u build a Vegas stadium with unlv as well, plus the backing of sands Corp, can you imagine the investments rolling in and the additions you can add onto the stadium... from boxing big events to concerts.. raiders promotions everywhere throughout vegas

Build a stadium that's also designed with soccer/the Vegas Rugby 7's in mine and there's a huge revenue stream there
