There hasn't been a PG DPoY since Gary Payton in '96

Frank is a great young defender he's on the same tier as Dejounte Murray, Lonzo Ball, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Kris Dunn on that side of the ball, he should be in the running for All-Defensive teams but DPoY?

Ntlikina is going to have to cut his foul rate and produce more offensively if he wanna stay on the floor to even be in the running for these things
We're talking about 6"6 guards who can defend several positions. Draymond Green and Kawhi are 6"7 so what's the difference really?

The game against Portland where Ntilikina did an excellent job... He was on Evans Turner during all the first half. Evans Turner who is 6"7.

My point is positions don't matter.

He's the best defender at his age. Yes they are other great young defenders and he's amongst them... So why is that so improbable to you that a future DPOY be amongst them too? Where does that not make sense? :leon:

As for your last statement, I wholeheartedly agree.

seems like frank is one of them players where the circumstances have to be perfect for him to succeed.
not a guy you can just throw out there and trust him to ball out

Like I said he's really good but I feel like Knicks fans went overboard with that number one P&R defender stat when he did it on limited volume of possessions compared to others, while he exerted minimal energy on the offensive end, and his foul rate is simply too high. Dejounte Murray just became the youngest All-Defense guy. Gilgeous-Alexander is also 6'6 and has been one of the best shot blocking guards as a rookie.

Lonzo Ball is out here doing shyt like this

lonzo ball also out here giving putrid offensive efforts, too. (he's just a more aggressive player) if you wanna cherry pick
also I watch clipper games. on ball shai is great...off ball....he's caught slipping and unaware a lot.
foul rates for kawhi leonard were extremely high in his first two years....but when you develop a rep you get leniency
kawhi puts his hands on players and damn near fouls every other possession
you ever watch marcus smart play a game? :mjlol:
he needs much better offensive output....but the flashes show me he's capable....his consistency is non existent :mjcry:
franks not even 100 games into his career.
light a blunt, RELAX.
