Last night felt like the changing of the guard from Kobe to Durant

But the problem with kobe the last couple of years is that he cant drive anymore and cant create separation on a shot like jordan could or durant can with his length. But thats what makes jordan so special and why kobe isnt on his level; cuz with jordan at 36 he still had enough to get the separation to get a clean look while kobe is usually shooting contested shots and hoping for a lucky bounce.

Outside of durant i think chris paul is also up there with the clutch shots as well

You couldn't have possibly watched those series and say with a straight face that Kobe isn't clutch.

I think ppl confused Kobe excellent playmaking ability with him being supernatural clutch shooter. I would have Kobe take the last shot because of his play making ability not because i think he is clutch.

yea mann its sad to see this from a Kobe stan like myself, but yea no joke but that sh!t made my soul burn too with the LAkers up 7 with less than 2 minutes to go and the LAkers are really good with closing out games but I was like f**k Durant don't go off, and he had to hit that shoot to get the lead. Lakers overachieved this year but this is just not our year. Hopefully Kobe comes back even better than this year and the front office makes some moves, and the LAkeset will be back and hopefully stronger than ever. But, yea Durant is that dude and is gonna be even scarier in the future.

Durant made all the plays he needed to down the stretch and won the game (along with Harden), while Kobe did everything wrong and coughed up the game by himself (that's my shooting guard )

Just seems like the official changing of the guard. I can't see LA coming back and winning more than one game, let alone the series after that collapse.

Kobe isn't strong enough to get to his spots. Been like that for years. That's why he's forced into a bunch of difficult jumpers. The catch 22 is that he's capable of making them, so the fans/media live with it cause there is a chance the "spectacular" might happen.

honestly i think kobe should retire while he's still recognized as one of the best in the league. He could prob play another 2 years at an acceptable level but its gonna be downhill from here on out. retiring with 5 rings and tying magic is not a bad way to go.
