But the 90's stans told me this generation of ball is devoid of talent and the league is dying. Even though 2010-present day has consistently generated 90's caliber TV ratings despite being in an era where TV viewership overall is less prevalent.![]()

Nah.Warriors are white America's team not surprised.
Expect a Jordan/Kobe-esque cult following for Curry after he wins the 'Ship & FMVP.

Why do you think Steph got more allstar votes than LeBron? As I stated in the Series thread, this is more a product of LeBron than it is the Warriors. The NBA Finals is always a ratings boon when Bron is in it, but in general the NBA has seen a serious upward trend in TV ratings since the Celtics Big 3 formed in 2008. Things really, really took off after the Miami-era though.
Compare the biggest market in the world in New York to Cleveland and GS brehs. It did a 12.9 with Lebron James and Stephen Curry
One Sided Spurs/Knicks series almost averaged that with no Star Power in a Lockout Season

Ratings for pretty much everything is down due to more TV ChannelsIt did a 12.9 with Lebron James and Stephen Curry

Curry nor Bron mean shyt in the face of giants like LA and NY. That's TV Ratings 101.
And I said 90's caliber ratings in a less TV-prevalent era. TV ratings are down across the board for virtually everything that isn't NFL football and I mean everything. This is in part because more people stream online than ever now and use the internet in general as their go-to source for games. The numbers are pretty impressive those things being considered. In the 90's, it was unheard of for the NBA finals to beat the World Series in Ratings. Now it happens pretty much every year.![]()
Just like with Mayweather Pacquiao. A long build up can actually help ratings .People make plans and prepare to watch big sporting events...
