While it it’s useful, in mass amounts, considering the fact people are always trying to subvert power, especially in political arenas, I feel like people in power use the vote to just judge who is for them, not to determine what the mass wants so they can achieve the collective desire.

they canvas and track areas, then figure out not how to “convince” people, but ways to subvert their voting power.

republicans are notorious for it, without qualms about it, but i see it as something each party does in their own way.
