Black people were here long before the 1600's....
Highlight the parts where you see that implied.
PAT BUCHANAN: Well, the point is, in these -- 90 percent of these are folks coming from what you might call the second or the third world. And people are, you know, people are fundamentally, basically good, but there's no doubt there's a greater difficulty in assimilating people from different civilizations, and cultures, and ethnicities and races, in the United States, than their -- than other folks.
And we know this is true, African-Americans have been here since 1619, they've helped build and create the nation, they're part of its culture and history, and yet we haven't fully assimilated African-American citizens.
This American culture is literally just stealing pieces of everyone else cultures lol.

who is really assimilating Pat?
No, the implication is that we should be subject to the same threat of deportation - or worse - that Hispanics are now facing, since we haven’t been able to assimilate into American society despite being here for centuries.Basically saying that since we AAs didn’t assimilate then it doesn’t make sense to let in outsiders because they won’t be able to assimilate either.
Basically ignoring that people like them made it so we could never “assimilate”
Racist whites always pretend as if their actions never happened. They are truly crazy.
You're reading what you want to read into what he said. Like I said, his preceding statement tells you what is behind his intent in stating what he did and if there was ever a dictionary definition of racism (belief that a race is innately inferior) this is it.Thats not racist, just telling black people what the plan is. White people actually believe assimilating you and molding you to take on their ideologies, lifestyles, langauge is a huge favor. Many black people are proud of how assimilated and europeanized they are in comparison to other blacks. Nothing disgust me more than an assimilated black person,so salute to all of those putting up a good fight. I would agree we haven't assimilated, its the only reason we weren't wiped out like others who resisted being colonized. Of course the Indians, but can't forget what they did in Namibia

The difference being we were born slaves who didn't know any different after a few generations of slavery. Nothing offends cacs more than when you are proud to be different from them and have your own traditions. The fear here is that they are saying if they let other non assimilated groups in,its a chance we could all join forces or just by majority wipe out whiteness. I say too many non whites want to be white for that to ever happen.

We are both correct. No, the implication is that we should be subject to the same threat of deportation - or worse - that Hispanics are now facing, since we haven’t been able to assimilate into American society despite being here for centuries.![]()
