Lonzo Ball said he thinks his brother LiAngelo's decision to leave UCLA "is a good decision." Ball said the entire family came to an agreement "that was the best thing for him." "I have been at UCLA but I didn't go through what he is going through," the Lakers point guard said of giving his input. "It is tough leaving whether he plays or not in their hands. You are just waiting to hear and just sitting around. So just trying to take action and that is what we did." Ball said he will support both his brothers, LiAngelo and LaMelo, if they end up going overseas to play basketball. "If they are over there, I wish them the best," Ball said. "And if they do go, it will be a family decision."

@Absolut any of you dudes claiming Lavar yanked Liangelo out of school :hhh: you were wrong. just like I predicted.

Lonzo will probably join them overseas once his rookie contract is up and nobody wants to sign him

And this is the end of the Ball Brothers, besides Lonzo.

LiAngelo could do whatever, but Lavar has absolutely ruined Lamelo's legit NBA aspirations. Nobody will touch him unless some coach changes his game overseas (and I dont think any respectful coach wants that LiAngelo / Lamelo package deal)
They generate so much press and attention a team might take them both lol.

Rubio was a highly regarded prospect cause they assumed and hoped (like every prospect) that he would develop an offensive game of some sort, dude 7 years in the league still shooting like shyt. now he still has some really good skills, but if they knew would they knew now about his offense..he wouldve been drafted in the 2nd round

Nah he still would’ve been a first round pick even with his warts. He’s a damn good defender and can run an offense. People like to use the Mudiay and Jennings comparisons but they were top 5 prospects. LaMelo is a legit prospect but he isn’t viewed as highly as they were as basketball prospects.

Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?
LaMelo might not get much PT his first year, but atleast he traning with professionals. thats better than just doing AAU over the summer. he could still do AAU and tall the camps I assume though right?..this is only a plus

2 years of not playing any meaningful minutes? :ld: May as well just hire a personal trainer and some former NBA player to train with, or have him go hang out at the Laker practice facility 24/7.

I could see if he were a big but a guard not getting game reps for 2 years when the last real minutes they played involved cherry picking and shooting from halfcourt isn't a good idea :ld:

So their father has not only ruined their education prospects, he has ruined their professional prospects. Amazing.

Not sure how LA kids who are used to driving around the hills of the city in sports cars will react to the grind of Euro ball live....

This move doesn’t ruin their professional prospects at all, and if Lavar stays in the U.S., Melo and Gelo might be out of that crazy spotlight temporarily . Lonzo’s gameplay is the key to everything, because Lavar’s 15 minutes will eventually dwindle down. If Zo struggles, the media and The Coli would find another adoptive father to dikkride, possibly Zion Williamson. Lonzo starts to ball, then you know the rest.

Behind the scenes, I’m seeing more positives about this move instead of negatives, especially amongst the black communities. They love this move more than Lavar removing Melo from HS. Overseas is not easy at all.

Durant said:

"LaMelo Ball. I don't even have to introduce him. Could shoot it from anywhere. Love his game because he's skilled. Pull up. Kids not pulling up like that, man. Catch and shoot. Once he learns the real game, he played kind of erratic at Chino Hills last couple years - just shooting whenever he wants, shooting as soon as he crosses half court. But he's that good. He could do that … Once he gets into a right structure, system too that's gonna maximize his talent, he's gonna be tough. Just need to keep learning the game, man."

LaMelo Ball WILL go top 10 at worst when its all said and done

Do you expect KD to trash a 16 year old kid?

Honestly i think Japan is their best chance. Young league trying to gain momentum and most of the international guys are big men so the guard play is weak.

Even the Adriatic league or somewhere like Ukraine is probably too much for them to handle at this point. I'll be surprised if they end up in europe
