Mj and Rodman joined a team that won as much as 57 games without them.

So it would be like Lebron at age 32 and another all-nba would be joining a team that was better than this years NY Knicks, then 3 years later retire at 35.

Context matters.

LeBron is 40, Jordan was 35. And they played in different types of teams.

I dont understand why people need to reach and create pointless comparisons just to say that Jordan is better than LeBron. Just say MJ was more consistent and clutch when it most mattered, instead of all that bullshyt. Then you can say LeBron did it in different eras, with different teams, conferences which is impressive too, but mj never tried so it’s pointless to compare.
Yup.

Bron hypes himself up more than MJ, because the media is completely different. They covered for MJ whereas the modern sports media gets more $$$$ with hot takes...and Bron is the easiest target for hot takes.

Also gotta remember that people were calling MJ the GOAT (GQ Magazine) BEFORE he'd even won a title. He never had to self promote because it was done on his behalf. MJ wasn't chasing Wilt, Kareem, Bird or Magic because he was anointed by everyone before he truly earned it. Fortunately he ended up earning the hype.

Bron has always had the ghost of MJ behind him and I think he's a lot more sensitive to criticism than he'd like to admit. Jordan was like Stone Cold where he gave no fukks and people loved him anyway. Bron wants to be loved but he was meant to be the supervillain. 6'9" 250 athletic freak is supposed to be Dr. Evil and he never leaned into that shyt.

The 93-94 had Horace Grant & Bill Cartwright and won 57 games

The Bulls were 34-31 when MJ rejoined the Bulls in 94-95

The Bulls would've lost in the first round if MJ didn't unretire

The Bulls didn't seek out Rodman...they simply wanted someone who could get at least 10 boards a game, Rodman became available and they got him for Will Perdue bc Rodman's value was at an all time low

Context matters
The 91 Bulls won because the Pistons core which included Rodman got old, in 96 Rodman joined the Bulls to make them a super team:banderas:

Rodman was all-nba when he want to the bulls. And I guess it’s fair to say that they had lost Grant but 5 ppg, 20 minutes, half the season injured Cartwright?

So now you defensively restore the team with an even better defender. So that you likely are a 53-57 win team again, instead of 44 win which you were before mj arrived. Then add that you also add the greatest player of all times in his prime at 32 years of age. What’s stopping that.

nikka 47 saying he won't comeback after he retires. I would hope not.

As far as better send off. We don't know how LeBron's career will end yet. But ass of now LeBron has the GOAT career. He ain't the GOAT player by any means but his longvity, health & productivity is great. He's the Cal Ripken of basketball

Potentially Dennis Rodman. He was seen as a cancer and a distraction. he could've tanked the Bulls. He didn't and well the rest is history.

No comparison . MJ is clearly the better player
My favorite activity is watching pathetic Kobe stans jump into threads and “stan” other players by proxy to shyt on Bron.

I remember just a few years ago you losers were singing Curry and KD praises because he was handing Bron Ls but Mr. Light Bright ended up flying too close to the sun and eclipsed Kobe on a lot of them all time lists and now yall seething :dead:

Retiring at only 30 and your team still winning 57 games without a GOAT candidate in his prime is crazy

This shyt alone should dead the Bron-MJ debate or at least make them 1A/1B but people love to overlook it.

So much talk about team hopping and ring chasing but Jordan never had to do that shyt because the Bulls WERE that team. This nikka retired and they nearly won 60 fukking games :dead: and made a deep playoff run marred by a bad call from a ref who was probably trying to protect MJs legacy.

It’s also a testament to how fukking WEAK the big bad 90s were. Please do not let these old heads tell you XYZ player wouldn’t survive back then. That era was dog shyt :mjlol:
