I don't know why he just doesn't stop shooting them like he did that one year in Miami unless he's really wide open.
Probably because it's less pressing on his body to just shoot long jump shots a lot of times, I don't think he really has (or at least wants to use) the same amount of energy he did in Miami where he pretty much was run into a ground like a running back who gets the ball on 1st, 2nd, and 3rd down. From a strategic standpoint, when he's playing with Irving, Love, J.R., etc., he really doesn't have to take threes unless he's wide open.

That's not really his game anymore...he uses his athleticism to get to the hole when he can but if he can't he'll just kick it out to the wing and let someone else take the shot.

It's been like this for LeBron for a while now
