The current plan in WWE is to breakup The League of Nations in the near future, and apparently the group getting rid of King Barrett was said to be the beginning of the end of the WWE faction.

It’s unclear what WWE has planned for Sheamus, Rusev and Alberto Del Rio, but it is believed the group will not be together much longer. As for Barrett, it’s very possible WWE keeps him off TV until his contract expires, as he notified officials earlier in the year that he does not plan to re-sign once his deal is up.

It'd be worse for all three if they break up, WWE is done pushing Sheamus and Del Rio as singles competitors. And unfortunately they're gonna outright bury Rusev.

They still like Sheamus. Especially since the TMNT movie is coming out soon. Rusev is good enough to not fade into the background. Del Rio is about to become irrelevant again. They could send Del Rio out the same door as Barrett and most fans wouldn't really care. :ld:

Rusev is the best in the group but he's the one that is showcased the least and loses the most. Seems like he still has heat for whatever reason.. If they break up I think he'll be used sporadically and given much of a push. As for Sheamus, they'll probably keep him in the IC title level but I don't think they'd put him in the main event again. He's too stale and there's a lot fresher and better characters that should be in that spot before him.
