It's so disheartening and disgusting to see the virtue of common sense and basic human decency just fukking melting away everyday. Like why do we even have to discuss the possibility of such a ridiculous bill getting passed? Then again this can really fukking happen in this day and age and it will just become a bleep because there are just so many distractions.

did having an EPA prevent Flint? :yeshrug:

yes, no....

This is the entire wrong approach to the question. And its why we can't let ignorant people gain power. They ask "Did having the EPA prevent Flint?" instead of asking "How many Flints has the EPA prevented from happening?". The first question is the one thrown out by motherfukkers with no foresight looking for simple answers to complex problems. The second comes from nikkas that care to look at the long term.

Flint is tragedy, solely because we usually never let shyt get that bad thanks to regulatory agencies LIKE the EPA. Were it not for this oversight Flint wouldnt be a national news story, it would just be standard operating fukkery. This country has gotten far to accustomed to the benefits of these agencies. shyt like clean air where you dont have to wear a fukking mask when heading to work, or being able to drink and cook with tap water without getting lead poisoning. It's been so fukking long with these benefits that they are practically invisible so nikkas can't imagine not having them.

When these devils tear this shyt asunder nikkas is gonna feel it and be crying for the 'good ol days' of their fukking youth. But today? Yall all shrugging like the shyt don't matter.

:ehh: you know honestly, maybe this is kinda true :dead: shouldnt the concentration of environmental efforts be locally based?

its not like i trust the republicans, but our federal agencies are just awful

I know for a fact republican states would turn into china level smog cities so no please id rather keep the EPA.

I swear the republican answer for everything is let the states do it, whats the point of America then? shyt we might as well secede and do our own shyt damn.

No because the states would get bullied by corps to do and pollute anything they want. For example, Dell Computers runs Austin, Texas but he know he cant fukk over the fed regulatory agencies like EPA. He may can run circles around the SEC tho.

This is dangerous AF. I use work for the environmental agency for Tx and the citizens are not as conservative as you think. The states gets so many fukking complaints about companies per day about pollution from mostly white people (All social classes). Literally dumb sheep azz people vote against their interest.

Dont let me get started about fracking in Tx. Companies in Tx run the politicans. There are parts of the metroplex I would never stay at and not because of the racial issues but because of contamination issues.

Same for the State of Delaware (my home state) and Dupont Corporation. They've been caught dumping chemicals unsafely multiple times. Delaware has one of the highest rates of cancer in the entire county and it's not because everyone is smoking. Unfortunately, they run Delaware. Don't know what the implications would be like if the EPA was abolished but, it wouldn't be good.

DuPont fined for poisoning Delaware River; what was hurt?

New York Times: DuPont hid decades of chemical pollution

do you think the repubs could successfully dismantle this agency? like i said, part of my skepticism is that i just dont give them that much credit

you have this cocksucker comin outta florida tryin to make a name for himself in the republican world, so he puts this bill out there. do you really think the seasoned republicans are gonna go through with this? its not like they havent put their 'friends' in there along the way as well

I don't know what the alternative is. I would have to read the bill to get the details, but from the outside looking in, I simply don't see a viable way to dismantle the EPA. Their reason for existing is a valid one. I imagine that without the EPA, we're going to see a lot of lawsuits between different states concerning pollution. We need a federal agency to regulate this.

And the Rethugs kill me. The EPA isn't a democratic party creation--it was actually Richard Nixon who created it.
