It's "live & unpredictable" but basically dead & predictable. Other than the occasional Titus eating dirt on the ramp, nothing else is a surprise.
I bet moments like that are what they touted to Fox in order to show how "anything can happen" in the WWE

I agree. Nothing feels live and unpredictable on WWE TV anymore tbh. The promos are scripted with no space for ad libs, the TV matches go to commercial in the middle yet a match never ends during commercials, even the backstage selfie promos have WordArt going along with them so you can tell it's pre-taped too.

At this point the only surprises are the finishes to non-Roman matches at PPVs.

The difference is unreal. The whole script on the right just looks and feels soulless and sterile.

Having a "no adlibs" rule in pro wrestling is so antithetical to the spirit of pro-wrestling.

That’s the point. They want the brand to be the draw and for nobody to feel like a larger than life star or a must see attraction. Hurts their leverage at the negotiating table.

Man, this is the reason why the product is so boring. I understand that scripting is apart of television and WWE but it can't be so telegraphed. Guys have to be able to get themselves over and be able to sell themselves to masses. But at this point their biggest star is WWE and not the wrestlers.
