For dudes who wanna learn Javascript.

How to Learn JavaScript Properly]

Do that course and buy that book. I can't link the book but its in the article.
JavaScript and JQuery: Interactive Front-End Web Development.
is the book on amazon.

I work online and make a living off it. I definitely recommend that website. Book isn't free but trust me its the worth it. Java/Jquery
You got a degree or certs? Do you use html and css too? do you have to do design too? how much you make?

Don't know if posted yet, but:

developer/programming information and careers thread

I'm learning Haskell right now, around next month I'm going to be implementing some Deep Learning/Machine Learning with it for my app.

I say once you get your feet wet a little and feel the burnout and get discouraged, my advice would be to try and find a language that you love. Don't take that as an excuse to keep jumping around when it gets hard though. At the same time, when you feel burnout, remember that there's no rule that says you have to stick with that language.

Coding with Golang probably saved my life after severe Javascript confusion. No exaggeration. From there I went on to learn ReactJS, which lead me to using ImmutableJS with Redux, then Elixir/Phoenix and eventually to where I am now with Haskell, a language I consider in my stable with Golang and Javascript.

Moral of the story, stick with it and don't give up without at least trying other languages. In fact, what you learn in other languages can translate into insights about topics you were stuck on. But there's a craft to it because you do not want to spread yourself too thin, the goal should be depth.
What's purpose of diving into these programming languages that you are listing that must be recently new?

I use them in my portfolio to show a potential employer that I can learn new technology and apply it. But for myself, I was just getting burnt out by Javascript's constantly changing ecosystem, so I took it on myself to focus on languages with a lot of potential. However, Javascript doesn't be looking to go anywhere anytime soon, so it's definitely recommended to learn it if getting into web development is the desired outcome. For example, I build all my apis/servers/backends in other languages, but always use vanilla Javascript or one of it's frameworks (in my case jQuery or React/Redux) for the browser.

man we could really fukk up these cac's economy up if millions of black brehs and brehettes started coding. we'd be running the social media game, we'd always be coming up with the next big thing. :wow:

our swag + our creativity + coding = us running these cacs out of the social media game :wow: :wow: :wow:

Exactly sites like twitter, instagram and hell even face book wouldn't be shot without black people.

We all saw what happened when we left Vine.

I found a couple local coding bootcamps but the tuitions range between $12,000-$15,000 thousand

Is that about how much you're paying at your local bootcamp? One of the bootcamps have an online course for half the price and even that's still :patrice:
Mine cost 8k but they gave me a 2k scholarship and i got a state vocational rehab grant to pay the rest. It's called ReBoot and it's through Worksource Oregon. Usually every state's DHS has employment resources for people looking for jobs so i would start there, that's how I got plugged in.

Matter of fact any state vocational rehab program is gonna have fundung for IT career training, it's not all plumbing, carpentry, welding, and shyt like that.

I was pleasantly surprised :ehh:

I do that shyt too :lolbron:

I dropped out of college (I'm 21) but I'm studying for my A+, so I hit up the private college near my house and use their library since I need a quiet place to study

It doesn't hurt the campus is full of PAWGs:takedat::mjgrin:
You may not need a student ID but some require parking passes like decals or tag to hang on the rearview mirror, careful getting fined.
