It's not a bad idea. I'll admit that, but that's like saying everyone should learn plumbing, in theory it makes sense but it's not realistic.

coding wont help you with accounting but accounting is very similar to coding in that it involves a simlar process of learning material and passing exams and getting certified (certs)

look up what you need to do to get chartered and follow that, its also straight forward and there will always be demand for accountants (govt hires accountants for IRS for example)

Separate from each other and entry point doesn't matter but I recommend python. The best course for beginners is probably Introduction to Python by Jessica Mckellar but it's pricey so maybe try to find it somewhere on the internet for free.
