Programming Languages Online Courses: From Java to Ruby

Good post but I have a few cbt nugget videos and honestly I don't think these are as througho as the books. It's more of a accelerated course.

I got some use my stuff after I complete my TestOut stuff. TestOut is far more complete than what I have from udemy and cbt.

Some of yall need to let it go...if you not in school learning, don't think you just gonna learn to code casually...yall aint got the stomach or patience for it

yea it is tough. you are not just gonna leave a bootcamp and start earning 6 figures. doesn't work like that. it's difficult and the competition is crazy.

also if you are self-taught you will just have to be comfortable with the fact that there will be large holes in your knowledge. i personally believe a good CS education is fundamental prep work to be an excellent dev. I've worked with code monkeys before and it wasn't fun.

sometimes the prob with dev work is the barrier of entry is really low so there's lots of places churning out shyt code that nobody wants to touch.

I start a coding bootcamp January 3rd and I'm already taking an intro to Python course :blessed:

that junior developer starting salary :banderas:

make sure you ask for help here on the coli if you ever get stuck as there are quite a few people here who can give assistance, Stack Overflow is also a great resource.

You can make a lucrative salary learning the ASP.Net development framework (C# - my expertise, VB, C++, etc.). The opportunities are out here, just go for it.
I want to master C# (the most advance shyt I know is doing simple addition via user input. console application pops up, aks you type in the first number, then the second and then tells you what the sum.)
I have no degree, am I wasting my time and should just jump into web development? I do want to learn C# regardless to make a game with unity but that's a long term goal.

For dudes who wanna learn Javascript.

How to Learn JavaScript Properly]

Do that course and buy that book. I can't link the book but its in the article.
JavaScript and JQuery: Interactive Front-End Web Development.
is the book on amazon.

I work online and make a living off it. I definitely recommend that website. Book isn't free but trust me its the worth it. Java/Jquery
