Anyone on the fence about whether or not to watch this....or if you have watched it, but need reasons why people think it's a crock of bullshyt. Read this article:

What You Should Know About the New Michael Jackson Documentary

Cliff notes:

  • In 2011, Robson approached John Branca, co-executor of the Michael Jackson Estate, about directing the new Michael Jackson/Cirque du Soleil production, ONE. Robson admitted he wanted the job “badly,” but the Estate ultimately chose someone else for the position.
  • In 2012, Robson had a nervous breakdown, triggered, he said, by an obsessive quest for success. His career, in his own words, began to “crumble.”
  • That same year, with Robson’s career, finances, and marriage in peril, he began shopping a book that claimed he was sexually abused by Michael Jackson. No publisher picked it up.
  • In 2013, Robson filed a $1.5 billion dollar civil lawsuit/creditor’s claim, along with James Safechuck, who also spent time with Jackson in the late ‘80s. Safechuck claimed he only realized he may have been abused when Robson filed his lawsuit. That lawsuit was dismissed by a probate court in 2017.
  • In 2019, the Sundance Film Festival premiered a documentary based entirely on Robson and Safechuck's allegations. While the documentary is obviously emotionally disturbing given the content, it presents no new evidence or witnesses. The film's director, Dan Reed, acknowledged not wanting to interview other key figures because it might complicate or compromise the story he wanted to tell.

So....yeah. These are the people behind these allegations, and the reason the HBO documentary exists.

my post from another thread:

It is one of the more egregious, extreme cases of gaslighting in modern pop culture.

For all the discussions on here, with men seeming so confident in their deductive reasoning, about sexuality and infidelity, and "sharing that girl", many are laughably quick to close their eyes to the obvious. If I said, a girl I was seeing met someone, celeb or not, and was sleeping in his bed, going on trips all over the world, and she came back and said "Yeah, but we don't have sex", what would anyone of you tell me? What are anyone of you telling yourselves about what Michael Jackson?

"yeah, he did all that other creepy, predatory behavior, well yeah he held their hands, yeah he groomed children, and spent time in bed with them, yeah, he built Neverland Ranch, essentially an ode to the sexual abuse of children, he talked on the phone for hours to children, yeah., he did all that other DOCUMENTED shyt....but he didn't sexually abuse them". That is people's stance?

Do you realize the sheer irrationality of that statement? It's delusional. No one would make that argument in almost any other situation, ever. and what was the FBI going to find that would change anyone's mind? You have the victims interviewed. You have the photographic, visual, audio evidence of his relationships with children. A VHS tape? These are not financial cases or white collar fraud where there is a paper trial, in the pre digital age.

shyt flopped:

Ratings: “Leaving Neverland” Not a Ratings Smash for HBO, Beaten by “Real Housewives of Atlanta,” “Beachfront Bargain Hunt,” Survivalists Show

The controversial Michael Jackson doc attracted just 1.285 million viewers at 8pm on HBO. It was beaten by “Real Housewives of Atlanta,” “Beachfront Bargain Hunt,” and the survivalists series “Naked and Afraid,” all on cable.

If it had competed with network shows, “Leaving Neverland” tied with a rerun of “Bob’s Burger’s” on Fox.

Did the Jackson supporters warn people away from “Leaving Neverland”? Possibly. Or just the shock value? But in the end it may not have been worth it for HBO ratings-wise. On Saturday night, HBO scored a better total number at 8pm with a showing of a bad movie called “Skyscraper.”
:mjlol:

So you cats can let this die any time. I told you clowns in two separate threads if a 300+ page FBI investigation didn't prove anything, an HBO documentary by two scam artists sure as fukk wouldn't. :manny:

This will be my last post addressing this topic because....well, the shyt got beat by a re-run of "Bob's Burger's", for Christ sake. Nobody takes this documentary seriously except for conspiracy theorists on The Coli. And people like them.

As far as your "is your girl cheating?" analogy....if the FBI investigated my girl for 10 years....to the tune of a 300+ page file....and found no proof of her cheating....then yeah, despite her behavior being fishy as fukk....I'd have to let the shyt go. Why can't you all?

I feel like the FBI investigation as a "checkmate" is really in bad faith, and kind of a strawman, and I am not that well versed in that aspect of the case, but I will say, I am not sure it is quite the strong argument many seem to think it is.

The FBI is a complex, massive organization, it wasn't like they had a MJ task force, and failed to come up with anything. Various FBI branches in the country appeared to have aided or offered to aid various state level investigations at various time. Some of those reports are now available in redacted form. There isn't much to suggest there was "nothing there", only that bureaucracy, the nature of the crimes, and circumstances never resulted in the FBI charging Jackson with a federal sex crime.

watch those two dudes tell their story and then convince yourself Michael didn't do it... best actors on Earth if that's the case. "why did they say he didn't do it then?!" ever heard stories like this before? is this the first time you've ever heard the testimony of an abuse victim?

To me, it's like this. I know for a fact Michael Jackson was a pedophile, that he loved young boys. No normal straight man is faxing love letters to children. He most likely molested the boys.

Michael Jackson created a cult of eternal boyhood and had excuses for anything. He wanted to be around children because everyone was mean. He wanted an amusement park in his backyard because he can't go out in public. He has boys as friends because he never experienced boyhood. Just a lot of immaturity and sheer unreality. Then we, the public, allowed it to go on because he made Thriller. Then when he reached peak dangling a baby out of a window weirdness, he was mocked for it.

People just need to admit that they let talented people get away with being uncivilized and walk all over social norms. You let these people use all types of psychological tricks. Like, "Oh I am just innocent." What innocent person can make a song like Dirty Diana or Keep It In the Closet? Michael obviously knows what sex is, especially forbidden sex. He wasn't some ignorant manchild. The man grabbed his crotch and pelvis thrusted for a living, he understood sex. He just made you think he is innocent because it protected him from his weirdness and perversions.

In civilized society, you don't get to make an amusement park in your backyard and invite children over. In civilized society, you don't have sleepovers with young boys. In civilized society people tell you that you are fukked up and don't try to understand perversions as non-perversions. You know many men did not have a childhood? Lots of them, my father was one of them, you know what he does, play video games. He don't hang out with boys.

When Michael Jackson went on primetime TV and said there is nothing wrong with sharing your bed with a child and didn't even try to make that statement seem normal, I was convinced. You can't hide your sickness from the world forever. He was holding hands with boys while doing that Martin Barshar doc and he just got off a case. I was convinced. If I was accused of child molestation and I just got off with a civil suit, you wouldn't see me around children.

Just like when R.Kelly was asked if he liked teenage girls. He didn't try to say he doesn't like teenage girls. He didn't deny it, he just had a scale. 30 plus year old man, on live TV, talking about he like teenage girls.

We as a society need to stop letting these rich and famous people subvert acceptable behavior because they entertain us. Yeah, you can be greatest entertainer in the world, but you ain't gonna convince me, subvert all common sense, that you are not a pedophile when you boldly state there is nothing wrong with sharing your bed with a kid or having sleepovers and you are 35 plus years old.

These parents of these children should be ashamed of themselves. They are victims too but how in the fukk you really think a grown ass man that got interested in a 10 year old, telling your child that he loves him, has good intentions? What grown man loves a child he not related too in anyway? Michael Jackson going around the world as the most desirable man alive and in his hotel room, he don't got women, he got your kid with him.

What do we need, a tape of a sex act?
When as a society we gonna protect the vulnerable for the wealthy and predatory?

@CharlieManson, is that you? :what:

What's your obsession with MJ? :what:
