Look at the consistently high ratings the NBA finals did in the 2010s compared to the 2000s. Even the least watched LeBron finals in the 2010s did better than all but two finals in the previous decade.

Lakers/Philly did 19 million in '01 and that was higher than any 2010 LeBron Finals not featuring The Warriors (who once again where the draw in those matchups).

And I see you conviently ignored the 2020 Finals which have that dubious pink color shaded on it for being THE LOWEST RATED FINALS IN HISTORY. Its sad that the prestiguous Lakers franchise has to have that mark on its resume. It just doesn't look right for the lowest rated finals in history to feature the Lakers.

The Warriors weren't even champions yet in 2015. Just look at the numbers again, you dummy - the NBA finals ratings declined through the 2000s, the Lakers/Celtics in 08 helped pull it back up, and the LeBron - filled finals pushed it even further. You know damn well you don't believe the Warriors were the bigger draw.

Hell, look at that chart somebody else pulled up where damn near all of the most viewed NBA cable games involve LeBron James
