What does MJ do better than Lebron? I am still waiting. These guys hate on Bron all day. All Bron does is win in the NBA since he was 20.

Bron leaves Cleveland: 61-21 to a 20 win season.
:mjpls: retires from Chicago: 57-25 to 55-27 :mjpls:

:mjpls:

So no mention of that same championship pedigree team being damn near a .500 ball club prior to MJ returning the year after? Lets talk championship winning teams. Cleveland wasnt a championship winning team. Compare Miami and Chicago. If Bron left this team, would they be a 20 win team? Stop moving the goalpost.

I respect Lebron's game, but he isn't the type of player that can decide to drop 40 pts like MJ or Kobe. I know for fact whenever Lebron face a tough defense he isn't equipped with the skills to beat any defense. Some of you don't see that but continue to place unrealistic expectation on James like he could single-handedly dominate every game. His skills isn't built like that to allow him to accomplish this feat.

What made Lebron special is that he plays with a lot of effort and give his team his all on other facets of the game beside scoring like setting up a pick for Chalmers, which gave Chalmers the spacing he need to cook up the Spurs' defense. Next, Lebron was extraordinary last night with his help defense and had a few block shots that shift the momentum of the game for the Heat.

Some of you kats love to hate the King like you guys are hoping he don't surpass Hall of Famers like Larry Bird. Your hate won't stop the King from cooking up a big legacy that many of us are going to remember.

his performance overblown by who? This thread is 6+ of nikkas shytting on him cuz he shot poorly, and I don't see anyone saying this performance is anything special. But to say he played BAD, in my opinion is totally baseless, and anyone with any real bball intellect would understand that he provided so much for his team tonight, as he does every night, just by being on the floor and playing with his head instead of adhering to some hero-ball narrative pushed by the media and salty former great players. Dude was everywhere tonight, but because his shots werent falling and he didnt score 30+ and have some gaudy stat line, ppl wanna act like he didnt play a part in the W?

And you're preaching to the choir about the role players, I know this squad has a good supporting cast, but the doubts about them have been well warranted. They've done about dikk this entire playoffs. Granted, Indiana was the first team that really required the supporting cast to step up, but they were shooting very bad going into this series. But yeah, kudos to them for rising to the occasion.

this isnt the recipe to win a championship becuz it's unreliable. and i'm not saying he should play hero ball either but to sit here and believe that him scoring 17 will get it done is asinine. he scored 18 in game 1 and had a triple double. a performance that can possibly be perceived as being better than the one last night but the difference last night was Chalmers going ape shyt and SA Big 3 going 10-33. oh and not to mention a 33-5 run from the end of the 3rd qtr until both coaches decided to empty the bench.

all of those things are anomalies. but the one thing i can put my money on not happening again is LeBron shooting sub .500 and only having 17 points. that shyt just doesnt happen.

if you're gonna say the role players finally hit shots then say that but dont take away from them by tryna overstate LeBron's night. becuz by his standards, he didnt play very well.

He said it best in his post game. Mentioned how he knew his shot was off but he was going to do something to be a factor in the game. Which he did on defense and facilitating. His energy alone on the court sets the tempo for his team. Magic Johnson made a good point when he said Lebron needed to get his teammates going to win this series and that is just what he did last night. Ya'll remember what happened when Lebron had to try to beat the Spurs by himself years back in the finals. They got fukking swept. Last night, Jesus Shuttlesworth got even more of his confidence back, likewise with Mike Miller. Chris Bosh mid range game looked pretty good and Chalmers balled out.

My biggest problem with this LeBron game last night and that some of you are probably the same people that bashed Kobe for going 6-24 in 2010 but neglected to talk about the 15 rebounds and critical pass to Ron for that 3 pointer. you cant have it both ways. and i only say that becuz i feel like Kobe had a shyt game in respect to his standards.

The double standards nikkas make for LeBron is sickening.

Kobe had 24 and 15 in Game 7 of the NBA FInals, and all you hear is "Kobe played terrible".."they won in spite of him", judging his shooting performance. LeBron shoots 7-17, looks timid all the way up until the middle of the 3rd, and its "do you watch games?!?!, his impact was undeniable! the screens, the defensive attention, the defense, etc..." Nobody recognized the shots Kobe was creating for Artest or Fisher or Gasol...

why doesnt other players get recognized for the things that dont show up on the box score...Ive never heard Kobe or Jordan EVER get praised for drawing the attention of the defense, thats literally a given. Every elite scorer has this ability. So why exactly is that being praised? And then to pretend he played a well-balanced game the entire game?:dahell: Yall nikkas know thats faulty. He was outboarded by Kwahi Leonard 9 to 2 up until the middle of the 3rd, then the game got out of hand and he padded his stats. Leonard had 8 offensive boards. The nikka was far from dominant last night.

Well this varies from game to game doesn't it? I mean, it worked tonight. I just think that its wrong to shyt on Bron cuz he didnt score 25-30+, ESPECIALLY when the perimeter role players had the hot hand. Granted, there's possibly going to be games where needs a game 6 in Boston type of performance, but tonight was not it. Why force the issue when your role players are hot?

You're right in saying that this game is an anomaly in that the heat probably won't shoot 52% from 3 again lol, but thats actually closer to their season averages than what they've been shooting prior to this series.

But thats not even what won this game. That just offset SA's 50% 3PT shooting. Defense, and a +10 turnover advantage, and SA's Big 3 playing like dookie and the team shooting 40% as a whole won this game for the heat. Whether you wanna attribute that to the heat playing good D or the Spurs just playing like shyt is up to you.

dawg... i totally agree with you. only thing is, i'm not willing to put my chips on the LeBron shooting like that and the Heat winning this series unless you can assure me that everyone else will knock down shots like they did last night. and you cant do that. and not from a bullshyt perspective like, "Well you cant see into the future" but you cant honestly expect for Chalmers to be the leading scorer and the Heat winning this series.

:manny: yeah, probably not. If the spurs still wanna triple team him in the paint though, perimeter players are still gonna get those wide open looks.

Yep, Pop is gonna have to make major adjustments because Mike Miller, Jesus, and Chalmers will kill you if you keep giving them wide open three's all day. Hell even Norris Cole and Bosh will knock down 3's, so the Heat have way too many shooters to be lacking in perimeter defense. You have to pick your poison and the way Bron has been shooting I'd lax the defense on him.

:dead: at "you don't watch basketball" like we all wasn't in the same game thread last night. Yea, we seen Bron setting picks for Chalmers, setting up Miller in the corner but we also saw Bron not being aggressive in the first 30 minutes. Floundering offensively. That's shyt y'all have grilled Kobe for. People wasn't bring open minded when he grabbed 15 boards and set up teammates. Y'all wasn't. You suppose to elevate your game in the finals. Bron went from 27, 8, 7 on 56% in the RS to 17, 13, 8 on 42% in the first two games.
