Just because he got his dikk sukked in office, c00ns think he's the GOAT President
Its not that. A lot of black people did well economically under Clinton. Give black people some money (and confidence as a result of that money), they never gonna forget you. Even willing to overlook the crime bill, and the welfare cuts (which some believe he did to win over Moderates/Republicans for re-election in 96) because of it.

My family had a business since the 70's to 2004. Economically it was doing the best under the Clinton years. As both the poverty rate went down and wages+income went up, more people were able to spend money.

No shyt. But the funny thing is, more black people supported the crime bill than you think back then. Different crime stats (much worse back then compared to now) and different attitude.

I've always viewed Clinton as a mixed bag. I don't irrationally hate him and run straight to the crime bill talking point just to sound cool and informed.
A lot of black people didn’t support mlk and Malcolm x

what’s your point

Why is it irrational to hate him for backing one of the most racist and damaging bills in US history?
A lot of black people back then thoroughly understood that bill and backed it so to say that they were completely clueless & naive is reaching. Why does the coli love to paint black voters as retarded imbeciles just walk into poll booths blindfolded?

The only people who are now just learning of this are the ones that are truly clueless, plus a lot of people (including myself who was only 3YRS at the time) today were young kids who knew nothing about politics.

Bron had to be at least 12yrs old so I doubt he knew of anything and to this day he (just like many other black people who're young) most likely still doesn't know. Only the coli seems to be "outraged" over something THEY have learned off not too long while pretending to have known since the beginning.

The Coli is not the only group of people outraged by the Crime bill.

And the fact a lot of black people liked the crime bill at the time has literally nothing to do with hating Bill Clinton for intentionally writing a racist law. He knew what he was doing with the crack vs powder cocaine disparity.

I don't care that some black people supported the law. That doesn't prove the law wasn't written with racist intent. It just proves some black people were tricked into backing a racist law.

:francis: welp it isn't like king james is the first to say this nonsense. chris rock, cedric the entertainer, jay z, das efx, humpty hump, mc breed. lol you name it.

which is interesting to me because of course this whole thing started with toni morrison, may she rest in peace. saying back in '98 that bill was blacker than any actual black person who would be elected in our lifetime. and this is why i say this idea that black men are by and large these disrespectful daily perpetrators of misogynoir is absolute nonsense. to the queens? hell naw. we've been taught since day ONE to look at our blackness through the lens of the post-civil rights black woman's ridiculous feminist & womanist views. they were appointed leaders by the ofays and we unwittingly regurgitate their gynocentric drivel in the guise of pro-blackness. we stay echoing their problematic talking points like this nonsense. it is what it is

I’ll acknowledge Ill Clinton as the first black president as long as y’all acknowledge Bama as the first gay president. Cause he did hella more for them than he did for us

What I'm saying to you is that the only black people who're outraged are the ones who weren't paying any attention nor cared until recently.

Black people back at that time thoroughly understood the bill from head to toe which is why many supported it, so when you're saying Clinton intentionally wrote the bill but you're also trying to allude that those black people had no clue how the bill would work, but how is that so if many understood and backed it?

Why does the coli keep trying to paint black voters as retarded imbeciles who don't know anything while walking inside of polling booths blindfolded?

The sentencing disparities written into the law are racist. They punished crack cocaine significantly more than powder cocaine for no good reason other than black people used more crack than powder cocaine.

Bill Clinton was smart enough to know why this punishment disparity was written in the law, he was well aware the only logical reason for such a disparity is to target black people.

That makes Bill Clinton a racist, and makes anyone who dislikes Bill Clinton justified in their dislike of him for targeting black people for mass incarceration.

The only militant in this situation is Bill Clinton for writing a militantly racist law that explicitly targeted black people. His critics are not militant for opposing racism.

End of discussion.
