LeBron actually started playing defense tonight. He was very active and made several great blocks. He finally used some of his energy to play defense tonight rather than just standing around like he did in game 2 so he could have energy to put up some empty stats on offense.

He also was unsefish on the offensive end. He actually let teammates like George Hill (a guy who is listed as a PG) actually handle the ball and create some offense rather than simply reducing them into spot up shooters for his assists. Who woulda known that when you give the ball to other NBA players that they know how to dribble, pass, and shoot.

This game proved that LeBron has more than enough help to beat the Celtics. He just wasn't playing the right way to get the most out of them. He was playing for stats rather than wins.

Tonight he played for the win rather than stats. And he's so talented that even in playing such an unselfish game, he put up outstanding stats. Bravo LeBron. This is how you're supposed to play if you actually want to win.

Will you still judge him by his finals record if he plays well vs GS in the finals, plays defense, yet still gets swept or loses in 5?

No.

I judge players based on their talent and skill level. I've never judged players on rings. I only use them to argue against idiots like you who think LeBron is better than he really is.

It's the rest of you clowns that go crazy over single games or series. My top 5 all-time is set in stone. And it was based on skill and talent I saw on tape not rings or stats.

Cousy > Kobe

Compare cacs who played in the 50s to basketball now brehs.

And if you wanna mention Robert Horry next.....compare role players to superstars breh.

NBA superstars like NFL QBs are measured by rings. Just as Tom Brady is considered greater than Peyton Manning despite Manning's better stats and MVP titles, Kobe is better than LeBron.

LeBron James = Peyton Manning of the NBA

At the end of the day we measure our greats based on RINGS.

your logic doesn't seem to factor in the relative effectiveness of the teammates as being a reason LeBron could afford to focus more on the defensive end. Lebron has almost always given the ball to teammates they just have to do something with it.
