Because not all careers and teams are built equally. Lebron didn't get blessed with a GOAT coach, a huge market that attracts players, the most dominant center since Wilt, and so forth just like Kobe didn't get to play in the East.
You put Kobe on the Cavs and nothkng changes. Kobe scores more but doesn't win any titles when Mike Brown is developing him.
Now put Lebron with the Lakers and have him developed by Phil? Lebron went to Miami, with a good squad and organization that is pretty good at developing and he became a beastly efficient post player and a solid to great three point shooters.
Kobe got 3 rings as a great 2nd option to Shaq. would you really give Lebron props if they won in that Dallas's final and Wadd got the MVP? Does Lebron become a better player because he was carried to a ring in that situation? No.
Rings gotta be looked at in context. I wouldn't say Pippen is better than Kobe either despite Pippen having 6 rings, being an all star, and one of the best at his position when he played.
Bron has better stats, more MVPS, and just as many rings as a first option that Kobe does.
Kobe is the best sidekick of all time though.
