Lebron has taken 175 jumpshots from the left side of court & only 87 from the right

YES!!!

A ten year NBA career is a success and a right career decision.

Where I'm from, we call #1 overall picks with career averages of 6.7 and 5.5 busts, not successes. Kwame was a huge disappointment and the poster boy for bad draft picks.

I don't believe you truly believe he's been successful on the basketball court, but rather you're trying to prove a point and preserve your pride.

Kwame is :trash: and that's not even debatable. His mama will tell you that.

Yet he's had a ten year career. To say that isn't successful because he's not an NBA star it ridiculous.

MJ was very competitive, tough, and had very high BBIQ. But also had big hands, quick feet, fast as shyt, tall for his position, had a wide frame, ungodly coordination and long for his position. MJ would be a freak athlete at 5'7. In fact his brother Larry was just like MJ except nearly a foot shorter. He had the tools to dominate. This is like my little cousin. He works extremely hard but so did my other cousin. Both had the talent but one was 6'5 280 and the other 6' 210. Both ran 4.5. Both had 36+ vertical. One was barely a SEC prospect and the other is called one of the best HS football talents ever. It's all tools. You can work hard but if you got to tools, you can do a lot more.

280 running a 4.5 with a 36 vert :merchant:

Again, 2 different definitions of success.

He had expectations as a #1 pick and failed to meet those expectations. You're talking about something different so we'll hafta agree to disagree. :manny:

Yes.

You want to compare him to the population of NBA players in terms of success. FINE

I'm comparing him to the general population and NBA hopefuls who've never sniffed the league, which is hand over fist more than his peer of NBA stars you continue to compare him too.

It's like saying that because one is ranked 350th in his graduating class of engineers isn't a success because of his ranking, while that individual goes on to make 200k a year regardless of that poor ranking. He's a success regardless of him not fulfilling the promise of being a great player. He's played 10 years in the league....coming straight out of HS.

It's amazing how you completely ignore your initial point of those who didnt make it, attempting to put Kwame Brown into that batch.

Again, this thread is about 2 of the all time greats, MJ and LBJ, not a scrub who managed to stick around the league because "you can't teach height".

If LeBron had a Kwame like career or even 2x Kwame's career this thread wouldn't exist.

Same would be true if MJ had he come straight out of HS and averaged 6 and 5 for his career, this thread wouldn't exist.

The difference between you (or me) and Kwame is far greater than the difference between Kwame and LBJ.

I don't think you know what you're doing when you say LeBron had "been in the league 3 years longer". You're actually aiding the argument for Bron.

Why? Do you know what college is to the NBA? It's basically the real D-league and back then way more than today. Have you ever heard the phrase "he should have stayed another year in college"? Do you know why people say that? Because the kid wasn't ready. A lot of boys get lost in the NBA. College allows players to mature mentally and physically and hone their skills. Especially at UNC. With Dean fukking Smith. The NBA doesn't teach you how to play. You're supposed to already know that when you get there. You're supposed to do what the game plan asks you to do. Simple as that.

By pointing out that LeBron was good enough at age 18 to not only play in the NBA, but play in the NBA at a high level just goes to show how ahead of the curve he really was/is. The fact that he was already playing in the Finals at the same age the GOAT was just entering the league only speaks to the brilliance of James and nothing else.

I'd also like to point out to Kobe stans that Bean also entered the league at 18 and compare his first year to Bron's. :russ:

Kobe won his first Finals MVP at the age of 30, his 13th year in the league. It should be and will be acknowledged that Kobe also helped the Lakers win 3 more titles as :shaq:'s sidekick much earlier in his career.

All i was doing was responding to u saying Bron was better than MJ at 22 and at 27. When that is debatable and im pretty sure the average person would say Mike was better. And yeah Mike didn't go to the Finals at 27 but he went 4 months later at 28 so his age 27 season he was winning chips just like Lebron.

Nah everybody wanna throw out 6 rings like Jordan never lost as the reason he's better than LeBron but upon further review, we see that Mike wasn't winning at the same rate LeBron has been winning.

I'd also check my math if I were you. LeBron was 26 and 27 last season when he won his first chip while Jordan was 27 and 28 the season he won his first. That's not the same age. LeBron was 27, Mike was 28. I don't see how that's debatable.

Mike is the GOAT and that's who everyone is measured up to, cool. But acknowledge that LeBron is ahead of the curve and has had more success on the hardwood up to this point in his life.

All fact, homie.
