LeBron right now reminds me of Kobe around 2012-13. He's still a top player and the numbers he puts up are amazing but when you watch him you can tell that there's an element of completeness that's missing from his game. Kobe was the same way around that time period

Coincidentally both were on subpar teams at that point in their careers...or is that a coincidence?
I think so because the lakers issues were not necessarily the same as the cavaliers issues. With the right players around them there would be a window for a title, but you need some speed, defense, and young legs.

This part isn't true. Dude is just lazy now, he doesn't try AT ALL. He's aware though, because he's always yelling at other players and telling someone else where they need to be/should have been, instead of just doing it himself. It's not his legs either, less minutes won't mean more effort, it's just he doesn't want to play D anymore. :yeshrug:

LOL @ the idea of Lue benching Bron though. Let's be real here, if this WASN'T LeBron, and ust another dominant player who didn't D up, nobody would say shyt about it. He'd be the forward version of Steph Curry.
:gucci:

Curry's defense gets brought up waaaay more than Bron's...Well at least in a negative sense... People in here were just calling him the greatest defender of all time two weeks ago :pachaha:

nah son, I'm dead serious. He's worse than Harden lol. remember, I'm a Bron stan. When Bron actually bends his knees and get's in a proper defensive stance, he can be a great defender...but he doesn't care to play defense. If I was his teammate I would want to fight him because he always plays soft defense then wants to be all demonstrative and look everywhere else but at himself when the other team scores. I be heated just watching the shyt.
Been doing this for a while, his stans still caught up on his 2012-2014 Heat defense where he could afford to play harder D :dame:
He says they need to play better defense then he needs to lead the charge and trust them on offense a little more.

Its like u casted a summon spell...

:dead:

That had me almost crying. :bryan:

OP right though. Lebron was still playing strong defense in 2015 and 2016, but has been limiting it like crazy at that end for more than a year.:yeshrug:

Ehhh I'm a Lebron fan, but O.P has a point when u think about it

Remember when KD busted Lebron's ass in the finals last year? His inability to play D was partly why they lost the finals last year

This is the second fukking thread you've done this in - you're such a fukking liar. :russ:

Anyone can search your posts and see you've posted 120+ times on Lebron and EVERY one of them is hating. :mjlol:

LeBron is just a stat-padder, never comes through when it counts.
Let's be honest, he stat pads and plays in an era with no big men. His shooting % when the games are close is abysmal
just accept this 5th Finals L for LeBron, that'll do major damage to his legacy. :umad:
LeBron is the king of the empty stats, he ushered in a new era of idiots that think % rates and other cac'analytics is more important than winning, clutch shots etc.
Let's be real, LeBron always needed a perfect lineup around him to succeed. he needed the right shooters, rebounders, big men, etc.
He cant will a team to victory.... his downfall this year gonna be sweet.
Kobe = 5 Rings
LeBron = 5 Finals Losses (soon)
:mjlol:
LeBron really only has one real ring. 2012. (2013 Ray Allen saved him, 2015 Kyrie took over and injuries/suspensions to Warriors cost them)
what Kobe does better?

Better scorer
Better passer (LeBron passes in ill-timed moments, like passing to Kyle Korver with game on the line)
Better post moves
More clutch
More rings
Better shooter
Better midrange
Better footwork
Better ball-handling
Better 3 point shot

Most importantly doesnt choke down the stretch like LeBron in big moments.
LeBron was choking against the Celtics and Magic every year
Only cac millennial's who are obsessed with made up analytical jibberish side with LeBron :ohhh:

Just to show how wackily delusional he is:
Kobe single handidly shut down Iverson and was averaging 31ppg against the The West (which was the real finals)

And maybe the purest distillation of the idiocy:

This is the stupidity of caring about finals losses as opposed to losses in other rounds.

Some of y'all fools would rather more highly regard LeBron if the Cavs lose to the Celtics instead of losing to the Warriors. Pure lunacy :dahell:
Of course its more important. Would you rather lose a random fight, or a championship PPV fight.

:mindblown:

Try to spread it out. I dunno because I think the team is literally only put together to try to beat the Warriors in a 7 game series and they were literally hoping to just Lebron their way through the East.

Prayers that Wade can turn back the hands of time and make big time plays if they get to the finals, use Jeff Green/Rose to counteract the Livingston/Iggy combo off the beach, Jae Crowder sacrificing his life to guard Durant (Which is his only reason for existing), and IT for the explosive scoring potential to pair with Lebron's steady offensive output.

But it was hastily put together and they didn't think the East would improve as much as it did. Shocking as it may seem but the East had some sleepers in the ranks and Kyrie's decision made other teams/players realize that this was theur chance to end his reign.

I seriously doubt this. I don't think for a minute that they thought they were going to beat the Warriors by IT and JR outplaying Curry and Klay.

If they thought they had ANY chance at that title, they wouldn't be just sitting on that draft pick.

Either they are planning on more trades, or they're not planning to compete this year.

I think LeBron needs to be surround himself with younger players entering their prime not veterans on the decline.

The problem is that Bron ball and how his rosters are constructed means they're instantly worse than the 7-win Bobcats.

This still doesn't make any sense to me.

The 2003-2010 Cavs were NEVER constructed to play what ya'all call "Bron Ball". They weren't really constructed to be good at anything whatsoever, but they definitely didn't complement any sort of drive-and-kick game that some of ya'all claim is all Bron plays.

The 2011-2014 Miami Heat were not constructed to play "Bron Ball." Wade was actually a poor match in that respect (which is why they made it work in a high-ball-movement offense where they played off each other really well) and Bosh was a redundant fit for both of them who had to really grow his game to make a contribution. All his PGs and Centers there were terrible until they got Birdman and he was limited minutes. It helped a ton when they got Battier and later Ray, but it still wasn't a roster constructed to fit Lebron.

This team is a better fit, but how else were they going to construct it? When Lebron signed on, Kyrie, TT, Waiters, and drafting Wiggins was what was there to work with. The team was in "win-now" mode so they traded Wiggins for Love...what would have been a better move? Wait for Wiggins to develop and "hope" he would be a star? Past that, who did the Cavs fail to acquire that would have helped them in 2014-2017?

I agree that they should have built a completely different roster this year. But they screwed that up because stingy control freak Gilbert fired their GM, not because of anything on behalf of Lebron.

His offense is more important than his defensive efforts at this point.

My guess is that he will start giving more effort on the defensive end in the second half of the season after Isiah Thomas is back. This is why Kyrie leaving was such a big deal. He literally cannot rely on anyone on offense for an extended period of time now. Kevin Love unfortunately has been reduced to this spot up shooter role which has hurt his game tremendously.
