Teams will literally pick on Lebron on defense now. He doesn't close out aggressive on contests, he doesn't get into his opponent's chest, he doesn't rotate quickly, and he doesn't seem to realize his defensive zone has shrunk considerably.

I went back to watch some of Bron's defensive videos and it's almost :picard: at far he's dropped.

Bron should focus on trying to be a 20 PPG dude and try to be a lockdown defender, if he still can.

And I'm a Bron stan. He's as much a part of the problem as anyone else on their roster. He plays the most lackadaisical and unaware defense in the league. He's worse than Harden in the defense department. Now that doesn't mean he can't play defense, that just means he doesn't even try hard. Cavs need to cut his minutes significantly. He has old legs and they're making it worse by playing him so many minutes. Give him less burn to see if he can give more effort on defense. And if he still doesn't play with more effort, Lue need to bench his ass.
This part isn't true. Dude is just lazy now, he doesn't try AT ALL. He's aware though, because he's always yelling at other players and telling someone else where they need to be/should have been, instead of just doing it himself. It's not his legs either, less minutes won't mean more effort, it's just he doesn't want to play D anymore. :yeshrug:

LOL @ the idea of Lue benching Bron though. Let's be real here, if this WASN'T LeBron, and ust another dominant player who didn't D up, nobody would say shyt about it. He'd be the forward version of Steph Curry.

I don’t think that’ll work since the rest of the team is lost on defense still. That’d be like if a football team has one really good corner, but it’s other corner, linebackers, and safeties all get lost. They just won’t target him. Look at the 2009 eastern finals for what that’d look like. Whoever he didn’t guard went off. I’m not saying he can be 2008-13 quality on defense again, but my point is that even if he was, their defense still wouldn’t be championship caliber.

He is not trying to waste the last few years of his legs on a team he knows isn't a contender. He is thinking about making it through the season healthy and having fresh legs for his next team.

More like how many person with his mileage is still expected to dominate both side of the floor

Putting up close to 30 on 60%.....give the man a rim defender
This is a damn good point actually. You can laugh and say lol LeBron needs more help but when was the last time he really had a shot blocker to rely on in his career? Anderson Varejao? Joel Anthony? JJ Hickson? Shaq? :flabbynsick: You can say Illgauskus but he wasn’t the presence that he was earlier in his career by the time LeBron reached his prime.

I mean, Kobe had Pau AND Andrew Bynum :manny:

what do yall expect he in his 15th year right. you cant be at that stage in your career and be dominant on both sides. Not surprised he'd put more energy towards offense.

A lot of LeBron hater in here rejoicing, LeBron be chilling in regular season been like that for years now. Yea kd balled the fukk out in the finals, nobody can check kd one on one NOBODY but yall talking like LeBron didn't do whateverhe wanted on the offensive end in the finals. He was busting Kd ass also. Warriors going for the 3peat so none of this matters anyway but lay off my nikka LeBron.

Best he had was the bird man in 2012-13 and 2013-14, and he only averaged 15 and 19 minutes those two seasons. Sideshow bob wasn’t really all that yet when Lebron left for Miami. Shaq was washed up by 2009-10. JJ I don’t think was really that kind of player. That leaves you with bird and Joel Anthony, who was completely useless as an offensive player in every facet you could imagine, and was a terrible rebounder (6.5 rebounds per 36 minutes on the career). He’s also had to be the primary wing defender his whole career basically. Their over reliance on him got so bad last year that not only was their backup small forward 36 year old Richard Jefferson, but James was their backup point guard and backup center most of the year and they didn’t even play any big men off the bench in the finals. The largest player off their bench in the finals was Jefferson. Aren’t they still currently playing Kevin Love at center? A guy who is absolutely putrid on defense. What exactly are they thinking?

A lot of policing and he should, he shouldn't, blasé blah shyt going on in here :russell:
Yeah, you're right breh, we're all wrong, his defense has been nothing short of amazing, that's why the Cavs have such a dominant defense.
