LeBron hurt the Lakers big time this year: this is in large part LeBron's fault.

Bron stans love spewing stats, until it gets thrown back in their face, then they want "context" and "nuance"

A disingenuous group

I mean yeah that’s how it works.. you provide BOTH.

It’s why Wilt isn’t the unanimous GOAT even tho his stats jump off the table

I said the starting 5, not your cherry picked 3. You brought up Dwight being all first team the previous year, when he clearly wasn't the same player and was actually a downgrade for them at the center position. And with all that they still had the best record post all star break.
And the team was mediocre when they all played together. They were 25-22 when their three best players played. They were right at .500 in games Kobe played with Nash. The injury excuse doesn't fly when they were barely winning when healthy.

Dwight was 27 and fresh off 1st team all-NBA. Are you suggesting Kobe made him worse? :lupe:

Yet they had the best record when people started getting healthy.

Keep exposing yourself.

Dwight was actually fresh off of back surgery and clearly wasn't the same player.

And Dwight was still 3rd team All-NBA that season and 2nd team All-NBA the next :heh: No matter how you slice it he was still one of the best centers in the league.

They were 8-14 when their four best players played together and 25-22 when their three best players played together. Dwight and Kobe played the whole season and they barely made the playoffs. That's the reality. Plenty of teams go on runs post all-star break (this year's Lakers, Bucks, and Bulls are examples). The Lakers were playing with playoff intensity when other teams had their foot off the gas but the bottom line is they were a mediocre team.

Lakers front office is the luckiest in sports. They get handed superstars to build around.

Bron can't "make" them do anything. They have to steer the ship. LeGM had a rep lonnnnng before he got to LA. No one forced them to sign Bron.

Stop blaming a player and focus on the people leading that organization. They lucky Silver/ESPN/Nike etc., gave Nico the Flagg in exchange for Luka.
