NO IT WOULDNT WORK BECAUSE THEIR GAMES WOULDNT FIT .. ITS LIKE SAYING KOBE AND MJ CAN PLAY ON THE SAME TEAM. MAKES NO SENSE. BASKETBALL AINT ABOUT JUS PUTTING SUPERSTARS TOGETHER AND TELLIN THEM TO GO TO WORK. U NEED TO FIND PLAYERS WHO FIT EACHOTHERS NEEDS, AND LEBRON+SHAQ DONT DO THAT BECAUSE A.SHAQ NEEDS A SHOOTER TO CLEAR THE PAINT TO OPERATE AND B.LEBRON NEEDS SHOOTERS TO CLEAR THE PAINT TO BULLDOZE. AND DESPITE WHAT BSPN TELLS U, LEBRON IS NOT A TOP 3 PLAYER ALL TIME LMAO. HE'S BARELY EVEN THE 3RD BEST SMALL FORWARD IN THE LEAGUE RIGHT NOW.
When was melo ever top 3 hell he was never top 5
My point is that there were no defenders that were doing what Kawhi did the last two seasons. Everybody got lit up on the perimeter, it was strong team defenses with interior anchors that got anywhere. Timmy, KG, and Shaq were dominating MVP's for a reason in that era. KG was the prototype for the modern defense SF/PF. At the guard positions, defensive utility was extremely low, especially with rules designed to allow Guards to score.
No one said "Lebron faced tougher competition than Kobe".
One argument I made is that Lebron faced better DEFENSES than Kobe. And that is a fact. No one in this thread has even tried to list all the career-full of fantastic defenses that Kobe faced...because they CAN'T.
Lebron faced four Boston, four Chicago, four Indiana, three Detroit, three San Antonio, two Golden State. That's 20 series right there, and those teams were elite defensively for at least 16-17 of them. Even the 2011 Mavs and 2015 Hawks were upper-level defenses those years.
What's Kobe's list? You can't make one that compares. It's not there. He faced good Spurs defenses about five times, Detroit once, Boston twice, and....?
The second argument is that Lebron LED his team to wins against more great teams that Kobe LED his team too. Again, you can't argue that.
Lebron's teams took out the 56-win 2011 Celtics, the 62-win 2011 Bulls, the 58-win 2012 Thunder (pro-rated), the 56-win 2013 Pacers, the 58-win 2013 Spurs, the 61-win 2015 Hawks, the 56-win 2016 Raptors, and the 73-win 2016 Warriors.
That's EIGHT 55-win teams, and THREE sixty-win teams. Of those, at least the Bulls, the Thunder, the Spurs, and the Warriors were fantastic all-time teams.
Meanwhile, Kobe led his team to victory against TWO 55-win teams total, and one of those were the 56-win Spurs who had their leading scorer (Ginobli) get hurt and hobble uselessly the whole series. The other was the 59-win Magic. And that's it.
You can't come up with a list of great teams that Kobe has led his team to victory to in the playoffs. Sorry, but it just not there. You always end up back at Shaq.![]()
You win no point in me arguing anymore I wasn't aware of your condition
This fool tried to argue multiple small forwards were better than James last year tooYou win no point in me arguing anymore I wasn't aware of your condition

Two teams is better than one especially when one was a perennial loser before he showed upKobe got 5 rings with one team
lebron been ring chasing forming super teams and only got 3
U tell me who won
Thank you. This dude will nvr be the goat![]()
let's see how Bron stans spin this.
Thank you. This dude will nvr be the goat
but he is good for the culture (strong black role model).
Looks like we need to update this thread brehs.
In his 13-year career, Lebron has beaten TWELVE 50-win teams in the playoffs
In the 13 years that Kobe played without Shaq, he beat TEN 50-win teams in the playoffs
In his 13-year career, Lebron has beaten EIGHT 55-win teams
In the 13 years that Kobe played without Shaq, he beat TWO 55-win teams
In his 13-year career, Lebron has beaten FOUR 60-win teams.
In the 13 years that Kobe played without Shaq, he beat ZERO 60-win teams.
In his 13-year career, Lebron has beaten ONE 70-win team.
In the 13 years that Kobe played without Shaq, he beat ZERO 70-win teams.
Man, if the ONLY thing you look at is those 50-54 win teams, then Kobe comes so close.![]()
Kobe: 10 fifty-win teams in 13 non-Shaq years
Magic: 10 fifty-win teams in 12 years
Bird: 13 fifty-win teams in 13 years
Lebron: 12 fifty-win teams in 13 years
Duncan: 20 fifty-win teams in 19 years
Jordan: 20 fifty-win teams in 15 years
And win-wise those teams Kobe beat were weak as hell.
2008: 50, 54, and 56 win teams
2009: 53, 54, and 59 win teams
2010: 50, 50, 53, and 54 win teams
That's why this stat is so stupid. Post-Shaq Kobe is getting 3 50-win teams that barely make the cutoff, and almost ALL the teams he beat are 54 wins or lower.
I actually have him down for two - the 2008 56-win Spurs (though Ginobli was hurt) and the 2009 59-win Magic.
That's it.
Kobe's teams managed to beat TWO 55-win teams and ZERO 60-win teams in all 13 years that he played without Shaq.
Meanwhile, Lebron's teams took out the 56-win 2011 Celtics, the 62-win 2011 Bulls, the 58-win 2012 Thunder (pro-rated), the 56-win 2013 Pacers, the 58-win 2013 Spurs, the 60-win 2015 Hawks, the 56-win 2016 Raptors, and the 73-win 2016 Warriors.
That's EIGHT 55-win teams, and THREE sixty-win teams, to Kobe's 2 and 0.
But really, the true measure of greatness is how many 50 to 54-win teams your team has beat.![]()
You seriously put stock in ancient TV graphics that weren't even accurate or meaningful when they were first posted?
I should just have someone make a script that re-posts this copy-and-paste every time someone posts that stupid graphic.
