Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?
Sure it is, its far less equipped to defend the pace and space offenses today than any defense in any other era was equipped to handle the offenses of their era.

No defense can handle the offense of this era, there needs to be an evolutionary shift to cope with it, but they damn sure are doing a better job than teams that couldn't even stop fastbreaks.

They'd rather make threads about him arguing with a team mate or mocking a loud mouth clown than actually talk about how well he's played this year.
because thats why certain people watch sports, to hate on somebody. Especially for grumpy white old men who hate when black athletes are having fun and dominating the game :dead: imagine how many times they say the word nikka while watching the game on tv

Watching those 80s games on Youtube is some cringeworthy shyt.
It's like watching a corner or a safety who never ever looks into the backfield or turns to look for the ball when defending a receiver, and nobody was getting back on defense.
127.7 in 61 (Oscar's rookie year):dwillhuh:
Shot clock operator must've been pretty bored.:russell:
He probably didn't even need to have the shot clock turned on until the final minutes of a game :heh:

...while shooting 54% from the field and shooting 36% from three on quite a few attempts :dwillhuh:

Wasn't he supposed to get words as he got older and lost his athleticism :gucci:

And you can tell that he still has another gear by how he treated the Celtics :dwillhuh:

Thank god Miami about to beat them in the playoffs :blessed:
heat fans making bron threads...disgusting

I don't see you outlining how to beat the offense today :mjpls:

Again, teams couldn't even stop the fastbreak 30 years ago, but TODAY is the offensive era? :mjlol:

Breh, what do you think efficiency measures?

Teams chance of scoring on an individual possession is HIGHER than any other time in the NBA.....there are just less possessions.

This isn't hard.

Dudes didn't even know how to rotate on defense and didn't care about guarding the three point line :dead:

they didn't guard the 3pt line because that wasn't how the game was played then. Why guard something that a team shot 1 or 2 times a game then. Obviously they would adjust now, jut like teams today going back then would adjust. It's all about era's and when you played

Here's the problem with the point you're trying to make, the ORTG today is the highest ever, but it's not some huge outlier. You can find a similar offensive rating in the supposed "greatest" defensive eras ever, and in relation to pace this year doesn't even come close to the 2009-2010 season in which ya man Kobe won a title where the league pace was 92.7 yet teams scored 107.6ppp, did they not play defense then

In 90-91 the league wide ORTG was 108.2, was the defense bad then?
