This is just ignorant - Griner went to Russia last year, months before there were any warnings not to go there. Lots of WNBA players go to play in Russia every winter cause they make 10x as much there as they do in the USA. She was arrested on her way OUT of Russia, which was still weeks before the US State Department warnings telling Americans to leave the country.
