Jordan was still a top 3 scorer in the league at 38 years old leading that sorry ass Wizards squad in most major statistics before he went down with the torn cartilage in his knee in 2002. Kobe would still be in the league putting up ~15-20 PPG if he never tore his achilles carrying that dysfunctional Lakers squad to the playoffs by himself in 2013; he was still putting up his usual 27 PPG while averaging the most rebounds and assists he had since the mid 2000s at 35 years old that year. Karl Malone was dropping 30 against Houston while locking up prime MVP Tim Duncan in the playoffs at damn near 40 years old in his last season with the Lakers.

All-time great players put up all-time great stats for an all-time great length over their careers; Lebron is no different in that regard.

lebrons numbers are nice, but the nba is "different" now and more stats driven league. Look at lebron from 07 where he avg 30-8-7 playing at the 25th slowest pace in the league where his second best player was 32 year old big Z. That lebron in the nba today would avg a 36 point triple double playing at the pace the cavs do now with all these shooters at a much faster pace. So to me these numbers now are boosted by a lot of factors with how the game changed

Lebrons shooting 60% from the field and 40% from 3. Thats the difference.

Jordan and Kobe had to shoot 25 times a game to keep their stats up. Lebron going 9-16 scoring 25 and dropping 10 assists :mjlol:

Unbelievable season.

Kobe was flabby and sick. He was gaining weight and going bald he was destined to get hurt.

LeBron will never be flabby like that he’ll always be healthy
:childplease: fukk outta here. Kobe was putting up 27 6 6 in his 17th season the year he tore his achillies. We'll see how Bron looks 2 years from now

He was averaging basically the same stats Kobe was that year before he got injured IIRC

Jordan and especially Kobe were always volume scorers though. Lebron has always been efficient from his 2nd season and especially after his 5th season and on. As you get older, suffer injuries, it’s harder to make shots as a volume shooter and Kobe has always taken difficult shots. We seen in his last season how he was pretty much finished as a primetime scorer. Like already stated, Lebron never had a serious injury affect him.

13 year olds who ain't never seen Jordan outside of a youtube video stay exposing themselves :russ:

In his last 10 games up to the injury he averaged 29.7 - 6.6 - 6.1 - 1.2 - 0.3 on 47%; 25-6-5 for the entire season before the injury, which no player has ever even averaged at 38 years old. Only player in the league who averaged those numbers for the whole season was Tracy McGrady.

Wizards were above .500 in games Jordan played (26-20) before the injury; 11-25 in games he didn't. Wizards were the 2nd worst defensive team in the league before Jordan joined them; became the 6th best defense in the league (tied with the Pistons) after he joined. Then when he left with injury they fell back down to 19th in the league. When his only other help on the team in Rip fukkin Hamilton was healthy with him they were 15-1 and competing for actual high seeding in their conference before he went down for good towards the end.

Yes, Jordan was still one of the best scorers and players in general in the NBA easily, even at 38 years old with his knees falling apart. Just cause you were too young or too dumb to appreciate it then, doesn't mean it didn't happen now.

Cleveland is winning it all this year. Once they get IT on the first unit no one will be able to stop them. Bron will be able to coast for long periods and get easy ones while letting IT and Love P&R for possessions on end. Not to mention their second unit is a 4-5 seed type of team by itself.
