we do. we don’t fukk with him enough for him to have a farewell tour . he should end his career in Cleveland and milk that franchise for max money. We only care about rings not shytty circuses
Does anyone in that front office have the nuts to make the call? They got gifted a superstar entering his prime years and he’s saddled with a 40 going on 41 year old running mate taking up 35% of the cap :why: I dont get it, somebody has to tell homie look this has been a good partnership but we need to focus on the future of our franchise

I think Rob want to, but Jeanie a attention loving whore who won't allow it. We legitimately wasted ADs prime, let's not do the same with Luka

I’m definitely getting old, we had this same conversation about Kobe over 10 years ago

We did, everyone knew giving Kobe that last contract meant the team wouldn't be competing. But it was actually a decent move .They got to let Kobe ride out in LA like he deserved while tanking, and the fanbase would pretty much accept it and still show up to see Kobe off. They just didn't hit on all them picks

Damn. Best playoffs in recent history with so many storylines and developments and it’s nothing but a LeBron chickenhead chatterbox here on the coli 24/7.

Y’all definitely not going to be able to shake your obsessive compulsion disorder you have with the man anytime soon

Y’all gunna be in shambles when he retires. Hate gossiping over what old man Bron ate for breakfast. shyt is a legit sickness

I haven't seen you or any Bron fans in many other playoff threads playboy. A lot of us are fighting @Gil Scott-Heroin and his agendas across multiple series. Meanwhile the "pure basketball" Bron fans only post in his threads

Kobe and LeBron are not in the same stratosphere of importance to Laker fans so why would they treat them both the same in this situation ?:dahell:
Importance is an irrelevant narrative pushed by fans.

Neither player at the late stages of their careers fits the long term goals of the franchise and should have been discarded for assets.

So if you’re gonna happily defend one, sit there and defend the other.

But it’s relevant to the fans of the Lakers :dahell:

The difference between Kobe and LeBron may mean nothing to non lakers fans …..but that’s the irrelevant part . They can feel how they want about their team.

Just like non pistons and spurs fans don’t give a fukk about what largely goes on within our fanbases/teams

theres really nothing the lakers can do unless he declines his player option which i think theres almost zero chance he does. likely the only way he declines it is if he wants to leave and the only scenario where that happens is if rob trades bronny. if he was to leave youre not getting a ton of cap space but it would be near the full mid level in cap space which might be enough for a solid role player or center. then they'd also have the full mid level and bi annual exception on top of it.

the problem with bron returning is youre essentially in a holding pattern for a year and youre more likely to have to sacrifice future assets to improve your team because you dont have any cap space or the full mid level to build depth. that said the lakers likely plan either way is to gain maximum cap space for the 2026 offseason.

If you're running a sports organization you're trying to win games.
If you're trying to cater to the whims and emotions of the fans, you're gonna wind up sitting next to them.

Discarding players who are no longer viable or part of your future plans goes back to the very beginning of every sport. Let's not hold onto this childish fantasy that you have to keep some beloved guy long after he's become useful. There are too many all-time great athletes we could name in all sports who were traded or cut. Lebron or Kobe or Anthony Davis are no different. At all.

All that just to lose to the 6th seed in 5 games. He ain't worth top dollar
Then who is worth top dollar?? Is Giannis not worth it? Are Jokic and Curry not worth it? Is Luka not worth it??

Do you think they lost because of Bron’s contract or because they literally had no big men they could (or would) play in the series?? Do you think the Lakers would have fared better this season WITHOUT LeBron, and a couple of role players in his place instead??

You people let your hate cloud your judgement. Stop being obtuse.

@Peruvian Connect

Even now he’s the 14th ranked contact in the NBA.

Makes less than KD, Beal, Booker, Dame, Paul George… i get it that your not knowledgeable about it but Google is a free resource, there’s no excuse in today’s age
