And from my understanding, wasn't there some controversy over Altuve's shirt during that homerun? People think there may have been an electronic device tagged on the inside sending him pitch signals, and that's the reason he didn't want his teammates to rip his shirt when he got to home plate. He gave some lame excuse about his wife. Has that theory been confirmed/debunked

It has not been confirmed. It all started from a reddit post. After that everyone ran with it.

From what I understand it's okay for players on the field to see them and signal them, but coaches, etc. off the field watching them through video and using technology to relay them is the no-no. That's why that shyt with the buzzer was also a big deal.

has it been proven there was a buzzer? or is this just internet assumption. because if they are "jsut" using video im surprised it took this long for a team to do this they been calling signal calling forever and its never changed.

actually speaks to baseball itself. isnt there another way for them to signal call using technology? just food for thought. i also feel like there is alot of faux outrage from these players but thats just me. for the life of me i couldnt see this same energy being allowed from other players from in the predominately black leagues (nba, nfl)

edit: commish can win players over if he provides a new way to call pitches electronically

If the Red Sox are found to have been doing the same thing, I wonder if Bellinger's gonna keep the same energy with Betts on his team:mjgrin:

no one has legit came out and said they used buzzers.

Last year in the playoffs MLB had people in the reply rooms and in the dug outs to police the players. Manfred even said they bugged the bullpen phones.

using a live feed to decipher the signs
And then taking that live feed and letting the batter in the batters box know "hey!!! You at the plate! This pitch is coming!! GEt ready for it!!"

Removing that element of not knowing what's coming is the end of baseball. The great hitters FORCE pitchers into that situation. That's what made Tony Gwynn, WAde Boggs, Barry Bonds, and Don Mattingly professional hitters. You remove that from the equation, everyone is a professional hitter.

The idea that a PED user is on the level of a hitter who knows what pitch is coming is one of the dumbest in intentionally intellectual dishonest arguments many Astros fans are trying to make.

Kudos to you for being real.

LeBron has every right to comment on this and give his opinion on this just like everyone else. He wasn't asked a question about it tho, he just posted his thoughts on his Twitter account.

I'm glad people are finally realizing that Houston have the worst sports fans in all of sports. :manny:
