I will agree with Max when he says that it is easy to take a stand when the risks are low.

Let's just not put Malcolm or Martin or Ali in the same boat as an athlete or basketball executive.

The first three risked a hell of a lot more...
It isn't "our" risk. Max is trying too hard.

Bron definitely wrong, but I don’t like the fact that as soon as a black man says the wrong thing they jumping on him. The only other corporation that’s getting their ass handed to them is Blizzard meanwhile the NBA, Apple and some others aren’t getting no attention.

That’s why I called him the Hip Hop generation’s Mj. Tiger and Dak are under the old rules where they run from it.

LeBron answers questions but doesn’t say anything but it sounds deeper.

With his comments on this, I am sure that was his calculation and he messed up massively.
Bron needs the green light from other athletes or celebrities before he speaks on or stands up for something. And when he does speak, I get the sense Maverick Carter feeds him what to say and he still messes that up.

NFL players have stayed quiet on Kaepernick to protect their money and there have been no less than a million articles written calling them sellouts for it.

NBA players are staying quiet on Hong Kong/China to protect their money and the same folks who couldn't wait to shyt on NFL players are doing damage control to protect these basketball negroes.

I don't like the double-standard.

Either it's ok to let bad shyt happen to protect your money or it isn't -- if you're mad at the NFL over Kaep then you have to mad at the NBA over China...period.

Conservatives are RIGHTLY dumping all over the NBA and Lebron since the "woke" community and the Liberal media won't hold them accountable.

Jordan has never had to stand in front of a mic and address global-issues because he made it clear from the start that he was just here to put the ball in the hoop -- Lebron wanted to be Ali and he just fumbled his first real chance to carry that legacy.

NFL players were protesting, not tweeting.

NBA players ain't victims here where "we'll leave the black NFL players alone and get on the black NBA players!"
:mjpls:

As if they partition blackness.

The same people writing think pieces or tweeting their distain for NFL players, are the same people that criticized Jay-Z and are now going at LeBron.

I don’t see the double standard. Woke Twitter want to see all straight Black males taken down a notch. The only thing that would save LeBron at this point is if he put on a dress.

He’s taking his lumps. Just search is name on the app.

LeBron fukked up by throwing Morey under the bus. All he had to do was say no comment. You can't knock Morey for what he said because he said nothing wrong.

Now you can say Morey should've stfu but you can't knock anyone for saying they want freedom for the oppressed.

i agree with all of this. lebron should've just said what everyone else said and that it's a complicated issue, which it is. let the politicians worry about foreign relations and diplomacy. just stupid for ppl to expect athletes to comment on foreign politics and events.

and lebron should've worded his thoughts better too. throwing morey under the bus and saying people need to consider what they say was bad and saying there's financial ramifications isn't a good look for him. he has a great PR team so not sure how they didn't prepare for this.

When LeBron says something, I want people to actually read what he said. He doesn’t say much if anything but he makes it sound like he is taking a stand. It’s like a politician.

The only two times I’ve ever heard LeBron make a strong statement was when someone vandalized his house in LA by painting the N-word and calling President Trump a bum.

he spoke on travon martin and wore a hoodie and had a i can't breathe shirt in public. not sure what more you want him to do.

the only knock i can think of him is leaving tamir rice's family hanging dry by not commenting or showing any support.

I mean I disagree with what Lebron said because it contradictory. How can you say someone is misinformed and uneducated about a topic after you said you yourself need to to do more research on the topic yourself.
Other than that I won’t call him a sellout(from the perspective of a black man) because this isn’t a black issue(for the most part). I also feel like he was speaking up on other players behalf but that’s what’s they have cp3 for.

.

fukk all that. He built a charter school in the neighborhood he grew up in.

But he never kneeled in front of a flag, so he’s not about the real serious, important activism life.

:troll:

Maybe he should go totally radio silent and allow Savanna to speak for him for the next 3 years. Like a real activist nikka would.
