Only 7 footer that gets a pass from me for using the jumper as a primary weapon is Dirk, everyone else gets theface.

LeBron is great but I'm not that impressed with him cause to me he's like Shaq.
Overwhelming god given ability doesn't impress me as much as skill that has been honed in through practice and hard work. Hence the reason I will always PREFER Hakeem over Shaq. I PREFER Durant over LeBron. Durant and Hakeem were the players they were cause of their incredible SKILL. LeBron and Shaq were the players they were because of their overwhelming god given ability.

spacing comes from your wings being able to shoot. True big men's game should be from 15 and in. Your wings allow you to have more space inside to operate and dominate.

That's not true about spacing, big man are very valuable spacers, especially in todays league without hand checking, allowing guards to penetrate much easier. I mean, every dominating power forward in todays game can basically hit the jumper; Griffin, Amare, Aldridge, Ibaka, Al Jefferson, David West, Bosh, Randolph, Boozer etc. Even guys like Ilyasova, Bargnani, David Lee attempt alot of jumpers.
Garnetts jumper draws a big man defender out of the paint, which allows wing players to make cuts to the basket without facing a rotating big man. It's simple basketball and it happens all the time in the NBA.
It's basically a given, in todays basketball, that your power forward can stretch the floor and if the trend continues, centers with the ability to hit jumpers will probably be the norm in the future.

I was talking more from a true C perspective. I agree with your PF being able to have that 15-17 foot jumper (ala Orlando Horace Grant)
When the NBA had true centers like Shaq, Keem, Zo, D Rob, Zo, KAJ, etc.. it was important to create space around them to give them more room to work in the paint.

And KG is terrycloth, that means very soft
I'll counter with Shaq having more rings than Dirk, Sheed and KG combined.
Outside of Dirk, nobody has been successful building around a big man that relies on the jumper first and foremost. Having a PF that can hit them is fine if he's not your best player, but building a team around a jumpshooting big isn't wavey and has proven difficult to win with.

Don't be foolish, this is a relativly new trend and will continue. Dirk and KG both did it in the last 5 years. Obviously LeBron is the best player on the Heat, but who's their best big? Bosh. What does he do best? Shoot jumpers.
You can't know alot about basketbal if you deny the importance of having bigs that can shoot and if you do indeed have a problem with it.. Well, then you will have a tough time following the NBA in the future because it will be the norm.
It didn't make sense before, but because of all the rule changes (defensive three second, zone, hand checking, the shaq rule etc. ) it's vital for every team to have big men that can stretch the floor.
It's much tougher to be effective as just a big man in todays league because of all of this.
