Narrow or not you know its true. The reason Jordan instantly became the most popular player in the NBA as a rookie was because of his breathtaking style of play. Nobody had seen that sort of athleticism and skill before in a 6'6" guard. It immediately set him apart and created his legend.

If Jordan was some ground-bound player who played like James Harden (for example) he would not be anywhere to close to as popular as he is now even if his numbers and accolades stayed the same. James Harden has put up monster numbers at Houston since he arrived there and he has never come close to being as popular as a guy like T-Mac in his height.

Style of play matters. When a player is not only great but also has an aesthetically pleasing game to watch, he will be incredibly popular and a must watch on TV.
But you're saying Bron doesn't have that, so why has he been the most watched and popular player of this generation??

I'm a Bron stan but his game is ugly to me. His game is a lot more effective than pretty.

Jordan
Kyrie
Olajuwon
KD
Kobe
McGrady
Paul George

All are masters of aesthetics with MJ mastering aesthetics and effectiveness. GOAT. Kids are camp machines now and a lot of them play like they're running drills. But it's good to see guys like Morant on the rise

None of them are built like lebron :dame:

But you're saying Bron doesn't have that, so why has he been the most watched and popular player of this generation??

Cause he's been part of a weak generation stylistically. As they say "just cause you're the tallest midget doesn't make you tall". The 2010s has produced some of the ugliest basketball players stylistically since the 80s. There is literally not one player in today's NBA I would want to watch play.

If Bron's prime was paired with guys like Iverson, T-Mac, and Vince in their prime (as was the case with Kobe in the early 2000s) he would be far less popular. Most kids would be rocking with Iverson, T-Mac, and Vince because of their superior style of play.

Bron's just lucky he's had dudes with games even uglier than his to compete with in this era like Giannis and Harden.

Does Bron ever use the euro step? I never see him use it.

He has it, but I think it can be murder on the joints at his size so he doesn't use it as much. Most of the clips of him doing it have minimal lateral movement or smaller steps. The Wade-style eurostep where you stick your leg out with huge steps and changing direction off each one is death to the knees.

Brehs dropping stats and thesis when everyone agrees it's effective just not smooth :mjlol:

There are multiple posters in the thread claiming Bron's offensive game is trash and inefficient though.

Either Bron or the NBA be lying about Bron weight for years :russ:.

Karl Malone was MUCH bigger than Bron, same height, and maxed out at 260. Bron doesn't weigh more than late career Malone bro, never has :yeshrug:
You got bad eyes. You just looking at just the upper body. Most weight is in the lower half. You got them amateur bodybuilding eyes. LeBron was 245 out of STSM, he was 285 in year one for the Miami Heat.

Draft Combine Anthrometric

Not to mention, LeBron had a growth spurt while being in the NBA. He's 6'9 without shoes and 6'10.5 with shoes. There is a good chance his best playing weight is 255.

Shaq’s, Tim Duncan and Garnetts game were beautiful too. Since when can’t you be big and not have a certain looking skill set to your game? For a wing player, Bron’s game is trash but it’s highly effective because he’s a great player and super athletic.
His game is beautiful for smart nikkas. Obviously, I can see why an idiot like you can't to see that

It works cause defenders let him shoot :banderas:

If defenders letting him shoot then why would he need a move? And why his defenders challenging his shot in most of those clips?

LBJ putting up over 6 threes a game and shooting the same % as Harden and Beal (35%), nearly as good as Trae, Booker, and Kawhi (36%), a little better than AD (33.5%) and way better than Giannis, Doncic, and Westbrook (25-31%). You look at the top-10 scorers this year and the ONLY one shooting significantly higher from three is Dame (39%). And this ain't even a good year for him recently, he shot even better in '12, '13, '14, '15, '17, and '18. It's definitely an effective shot.
