I wish you could use some of that logic you boast about to debate the actual disparity in the tax codes.

Yall care about the silliest stuff. Yall fight for lebrons rights though! Lol
Less about LeBron and how broken our tax code is. This is just a famous example but is one of many where those with the employers tend to pay much less as far as percentage of their income compared to their employees. The article outlines that the stadium staff also pay higher rates than the owners. The title drives the point home using a famous person that everyone knows.

In addition, this is what makes those who argue for a flat tax vs a progressive tax seem kind of ridiculous. You can look at Lebron for example and given he is a higher income bracket he is paying a bigger percentage but this man is still rich as hell. The idea that anyone besides the most wealthy conservatives argue for a flat tax is laughable. There is no reason for anyone who isn't a millionaire to argue that the richer should be giving up a bigger portion of their earnings.

Ain’t no fukking way Lebron paid 36 percent in taxes. If he did Lebron should fire every accountant on his team.
He definitely would pay 36% on his NBA income. That’s what they’re referring to. His income outside of that… :yeshrug:

When you own business there's so much shyt you can write off that it's ridiculous.

partnah of mine is an owner/operator of his truck. Brought in almost 100k one year, but with all the tax writeoffs and shyt he does, he was able to reduce his taxable income to 28K. :francis:

shyt has BEEN a lick.

:dead: Nikka basically paid nothing :lolbron:

Most of lebron's money is salary and endorsements, which is taxed as income. Ballmer is mostly stock rich which is lower taxed capital gains
If you read the article that's not the issue at play here. The problem is Ballmer gets to write off his $2 billion purchase of the Clippers over time which every year reduces his taxable income.

The country’s policies are unfairly tilted towards capital. These billionaires borrow against their wealth to avoid taxes.

It’s a ridiculous system.
Yup keep all their compensation in stocks/equity and take out large bullet loans against that equity with less than 1% interest rates that they don't have to pay off for 10 years. The funny thing is they used to use the how little "salary" they make as PR to make them look good. "Steve Jobs only makes $50k a year in salary"

Yup, my boy is an accountant and he been telling me and everybody who will listen to go get an LLC, even if you don't really want to run a business just have an LLC in your name. He basically said that shyt is like a cheat code to not paying taxes like that.
A cheat code until you get audited. At the end of the day your "LLC" still needs to be a somewhat operable business

This article skillfully omits LeBron's investment earnings while focusing soley on Ballmer's business earnings. Not that they are pushing any specific agenda or anything:hubie:
