People complained about LeBron not having killer instinct or being competitive enough and also criticize him for wanting to be the best. The real reason LeBron can't pass Jordan in a lot of people's eyes is because Jordan defined their childhoods.

I'm old enough to actually remember watching Jordan play with the Bulls and as time passed people seem to completely forget how important, instrumental and damn good Pippen was. Jordan gets way too much credit for those Bulls championships. Pippen opened the door for MJ to be great by handling damn near everything else on the floor and the offense and defense running through him. I'll just leave this video right here for those that doubt it.

I'm old enough to remember too and you're out of your damn mind. Scottie is regarded as one of the GOAT sidekicks and best all around players ever. That's exactly where he should be.

How the hell did Pippen open the door for Mike when he was bytching up against the Pistons. MJ toughened him up and took him to another level.

MJ was still first team all defense every year with Pippen. MJ still lead the team in scoring while getting as many assists as Scottie.

Scottie averaged 16-6-5 for his career. 17ppg in the playoffs.

MJ averaged 34-6-6 in the Finals. 31-11-7 vs the Lakers. 41-9-6 vs the Suns but he gets too much credit:stopitslime:

He played his position as the jack of all trades but Mike made that team what it was.

Validate your argument not with numbers but SAS and Skip brehs:mjlol:

You obviously aint watch that video and just saw the screenshot but feel how you want. I'm not questioning Jordan's greatness or numbers just showing what and who made it possible for him to be from the mouths of the coaches and teammates who agreed in the video.

He's already been the best player in the game for a very long time.

I don't think it's out of the realm of possibility that Lebron could go down as a better player than Jordan.
It'll just take some more great moments from Lebron...and it'll take time.

As the years go by and the game starts to get appreciated by the people who came of age with Lebron, perspectives will change because their voices will be louder.

Frankly, if you asked people who grew up watching Wilt and Oscar and Kareem in the 1990s when Jordan was doing his thing...they probably didn't think MJ was the GOAT...at least not to them.
It's the same now. Jordan has a mystique because he was great. And then Kobe made it a point to try and copy Jordan's game as much as possible...and he won titles without shaq...so the comparisons are there. But if Lebron wins this year...and possibly another title before his career ends, people will come around.

:manny:

Tim Duncan surpassed Kobe tho :umadduncan:
