AND LEBRON PLAYED WITH 2 ALLSTARS MINIMUM FOR EACH OF HIS TITLE RUNS.......

KOBE WON BACK TO BACK WITH ONLY ONE ALL-STAR AND PLAYERS WHO GOT LITERALLY NOWHERE BEFORE AND AFTER HE TOOK THEM TO THE PROMISELAND....IN THE WESTERN CONFERENCE

SO BY YOUR VERY OWN ESTIMATION, KOBE THE GOAT
Winning rings is better than being an All-Star...Experience in the All-Star game is NOT comparable to experience in CHAMPIONSHIP games...Jordan was a LOSER until he got that championship experience...FACTS...

Does he need to get 6 or more championships to do it? I can see him getting two more with the cavs. That'd put him at 5 championships. Getting 6 seems nigh impossible. Let alone 7. But I only casually follow basketball so my thoughts aren't worth much

Are we just going to ignore Phil Jackson who ended up with 11 rings or something like that...

Jordan was SURROUNDED by RINGS...Not some stupid All-Star votes...

People down play the "supporting cast's" role just to give Jordan all the glory, but I want a statistic nut to actually crunch the numbers and give an estimation of how much of the Bulls' success could approximately be attributed to Jordan...

I mean...Phil won 5 after Jordan, and the other players around Jordan have 13 combined...Now the total is 18 rings WITHOUT Jordan...It CANNOT be a coincidence...

How do you explain this much success without Jordan, and how many other players in the modern NBA have similar successful "supporting casts"?

As an individual player is BETTER than Jordan...

Jordan played in some of the best teams in sports history...A total of 18 rings were won by the people who "supported" Jordan, without Jordan...That is NOT a coincidence...

Man, look, that ship sailed a long ass fukking time ago. He needs to give that up. He can get 6 rings and still won't be considered greater than Jordan. Jordan revolutionized the game and people marveled at his greatness. James just can't match that. And I'm not even gonna go into finals stats and mvps.

Maybe to his stans there's a chance but outside of that It won't happen

And @IWunD3r has a point. If a person was teaching their kids or whoever about basketball, what technical or fudamental aspects of the game would you have them learn or emulate from lebron :patrice:

Try to be a 6'8 bullet train :yeshrug: Outside of hoping to be an immensely physically gifted athlete, none. Lebron has an argument for the best athlete in NBA history but best player :mjlol: like I said, only kids and overly obsessed delusional adults believe this is even in the realm of possibility :russ: just like with Kobe Stanley's. And we didn't even go into the mental weaknesses which we witnessing even right now

Just be great in your own lane breh, how hard is that?

Dennis Rodman 2 before Jordan
Ron Harper 2 after Jordan
Steve Kerr 2 after Jordan
Robert Parish 3 before Jordan
Will Perdue 1 after Jordan
John Salley 2 before Jordan 1 after Jordan

Horace Grant 1 after Jordan

That's 13 RINGS for Jordan's "supporting cast"...Which other player of the modern era has been fortunate enough to play with such a decorated "supporting cast"?

Jordan played on probably the BEST teams in the history of the NBA...

LeBron EASILY takes bums to the next level...He just didn't have the fortunate to play with championship experienced teammates all the time (like Jordan did)...

This point is awful especially when the bulls won 3 titles with 0 players that had championship experience from 91-93

Salley and Parish were complete non factors on the bulls title teams along with every player you named that had prior championships except rodman.Harper, perdue, grant and kerr winning post bulls is an even more irrelevant point. Will perdue averaged 2.2 ppg on the spurs that won the title. You're mentioning bums wade and irving both have at least one 40 point playoff game while playing with lebron jordan never had a sidekick doing that.

Breh, NBA has been/is fulla nikkas wit gawd like athletic abilities dat haven't accomplished 1/3 of da kinda things buddy has. I kinda think reducin his achievements and milestones in da league solely off just genetics is doin him a bit of a disservice.

I mean, I'm not da biggest basketball expert but I would think you'd need more than just superior runnin and jumpin to pull of feats like dis, no?

There's no way he will ever passed THE GOAT, but I have no problem with him trying or tried to get that title...

Like I have no problem with a guy like khalil mack saying he's trying to pass Lawrence Taylor or Antonio Brown trying to pass Jerry Rice..

I know youngster and probably limited educated nba fans will say Jordan had Scottie or the bulls teams was loaded...

Them bulls teams wasn't loaded like that...look at that 91 roster...hell look at some of those other bulls teams... a lot of those dudes was great shooters cause of Jordan being double team and the bulls low post play was terrible outside of Jordan... Bill Cartwright was average at best, but he mostly shot in the 1st quarter of games till Jordan decided to say fukk it I'm ready to play

Not going to happen! His only chance at winning another with the Cavs is this year due to Golden State going to through a transition with KD, but if GSW win it this season then Lebron is going to have to leave because Cleveland are cap strapped. They are not going to be able to get better unless they make a huge move, which can be risky because this current team has won already.

After its all said and done, Lebron will be in the top 3 of all time regardless if that's true or not.
None of us can speak on the old time greats that MJ looked up to. We seen videos here and there, but unless you watched a seasons worth? You can't really speak on them when it comes to comparisons. I'm assuming we all are too young to really speak on the Oscar Robinsons/etc. Well, @beaniemac was probably at these old skool games, I remember him once talking about what Chicago was like before Jordan but that's another story..

Lebron is a top 3 basketball player in most of our lifetimes. Jordan is number 1 and Lebron can't match it. Its too late, but Lebron is a clear #2 and best since Jordan. Kobe had shaq and phil, had stacked teams everytime he won. Lebron's team in Miami wasn't really as stacked as people say because Bosh nor wade was the same players once Lebron Joined them, Bosh really ain't been much of shyt since leaving toronto. I'd say :mjpls: :gladbron: :shaq: as the top 3 of most of our lifetimes...

I agree with ya for the most part except of my generation id say..in order

Jordan
Dream
Lbj
Duncan
Shaq
Kobe

Lbj gonna pass dream when its all said and done

I cant be mad at lbj wantinh to be the best...always good to set high goals for yaself
