cant be mad at Jordan, Dr j and Bird and add Magic at the end....maybe he he asked him his top 100 kobe might get an honorable mention at the end

Highly doubt that considering when he first came in the league he constantly gave kobe the nod of being the best at the time.

Oh shyt I forgot, Heats fans start caring about Lebron in July 2010.

Admittedly, my statement was more for effect in response Lebron's statement, than a serious discussion over who had the better career: vince or Dr. J. Although I will concede the point, I dont think the disparity between the two is as great as people conclude . Dr. J was a better career shooter (although Vince noticeably improved playing with kidd, as opposed to garbage Toronto PG's). As you sort of hinted, I dont think there is any question who played with the better teammates, which obviously impacts production. Their respective careers stat wise says to me that one did things a lil better, the other a lil better. Dr. J's NBA career doesnt really leap off the page. Its a fair comparison in my book.

:merchant:

I'm actually kind of flabbergasted. I regard you as a sensible voice, and I'm not trying to put you down or get into some petty back and forth or anything like that. But damn, you are really disrespecting the shyt out of Dr. J. Dr. J's NBA career doesn't leap of the page? It's fair to compare him to Vince fukking Carter?

You can't point out that he played with better teammates than Vince without acknowledging that he played against more complete teams as well. And that he took a team to an NBA championship. And on multiple deep playoff runs. And that he made 5 All-NBA first teams and two seconds. And that he won an MVP award. He also finished second, third, and fifth twice in MVP voting.

Vince Carter had 3 playoff runs during which he shot under 40% from the field, and one in which he shot 29% on 10 shots a game.

Vince Carter has never made an All-NBA first team. He has made 1 second team and one third. Vince Carter never finished higher than 10th in MVP voting.

Dr. J's numbers - even excluding his ABA years - are better than Vince Carters, he's better by just about every advanced stat too, his teams had great success to which he directly contributed, and he was by far a better defender. There really is no comparison other than the fact that both are 6'6 scorers who revolutionized dunking. Vince Carter simply doesn't merit that level of comparison.

so kobe and jordan game isnt similar?
its similar but also very different most glaring difference is shot selection....kobe is the definition of a volume shooter.....far as style of play the closes to Jordan has been Wade

i always saw Jerry West and Kobe to be kindred spirits as far as style of play thou kobe of course is much more athletic

Lol @ dude who put Durant over Bird. C'mon mannn

and @HarlemsOwn just hates white people. Only white people recognize Bird for his greatness? Yeah, right. Theres a reason all the superstars put him in their top lists. Go watch some game film. Birds shot was untouchable. His accomplishments should be even higher in your book since hes only a white boy.
