This is a sad situation, the only person who looks like he did the right thing was Morey. That dude was commenting about freedom and was bringing some awareness to those protesters in their fight for equality and everyone around him bent the knee. I think everyone here agrees that freedom is one of the most fundamental human rights. But, when one country with one billion people got your nuts you accept and don't ask any questions. Daryl Morey is not uneducated, he went to Northwestern and MIT, it's rich to have Lebron call him out on that when he never went to college.

If Morey really cared about fighting for equality he would have tweeted about two African Americans that were murdered in their own home by racist cops. Both tragedies happened in the same state his team is based in.

I'd say no comment. I wouldn't attack anyone that spoke up against China and I wouldn't act like I'm not educated enough to have an opinion on it because it's not that complexed.
I agree to a point but LeBron really wants it to be known that the Morey tweet affected the livelihoods of his fellow employees and employer. I'm half way alright with that.

Please stop with the nonsense. The dude said Morey was misinformed. His initial statement left it ambiguous to what Morey was misinformed about. So he clarified and said that Morey was misinformed about how China would react. He was. But let's just stop and think for a second. Morey and the vast majority of the U.S. doesn't even stand up for Black people in the U.S. How insane is it that this guy finds an issue all the way across the globe to protest, meanwhile in his own state Black people are getting murdered inside their homes by police officers and he remains silent?

Morey, like most Americans, are deeply ignorant about the rest of the world. Morey thought he could throw out a random tweet about a topic he doesn't even really care about and no one would care. Well China cared. How much did China care? Enough to cut ties completely with the Rockets and re-evaluate their entire relationship with the NBA. If Morey knew that was going to be China's response, he wouldn't have said shyt. Now that everyone knows what China's response is, no one wants to say shyt. It's not that complicated.

But above and beyond that, I have a deep issue with any American - Black, White or any nationality- who's going to call out one of my fellow African-Americans for not protesting for the rights of people all over the globe, while we don't have our rights here in America.

True, he's looked at as the voice of the players and if one tweet from Morey makes the salary cap go down around the league then I can see how it would affect him because it affects the players and not Morey.

And China already fell back before LeBron poured gasoline on a fire that was already going out.

BEIJING — After three days of fanning nationalistic outrage, the Chinese government abruptly moved on Thursday to tamp down public anger at the N.B.A. as concerns spread in Beijing that the rhetoric was damaging China’s interests and image around the world.

Now, the Chinese government appears to be reassessing its campaign against the N.B.A. and dialing down the clamor. The government is already in a bruising trade war with the United States, and a backlash against China could hurt its image in the sporting world ahead of the 2022 Winter Olympics near Beijing. The dispute with the N.B.A. was also quickly politicizing an audience of sports fans who would not normally focus on issues like the protests in Hong Kong.

China Blows Whistle on Nationalistic Protests Against the N.B.A.

If you have an issue with an African American getting called out "for not protesting for the rights of people all over the globe", you should definitely have a problem will the an African American tarnishing his brand over something that has nothing to do with him, and that's exactly what LeBron is doing. This is Morey's mess. He should stay out of it period and just say he doesn't know what's going on in china, as opposed to giving a statement that seems to defend China.
