Knowing he's never gonna surpass MJ: He didn't do it by himself. Look at the team that he had.

Feeling he may not beat GS: They're teaming up to beat me.

I'm sensing a theme here........
me to

nikka is bluffing trying to puff his chest out and be on some :pacspit:

but he lowkey scared like :sadcam: at GS and seeing how they gelling with KD.

and as @CHICAGO said trying to fix the narrative.

I'm not even crapping on LBJ. I'm more so defending the Warriors. LBJ owns Boston/Chicago/Indiana/Dallas/etc.But with the Warriors, it's not like Steph and company have this long history of losing to LBJ in the regular season or post season. Up until Game 5(or which ever game Draymond got suspended) GS and Steph had the advantage over Cleveland(since we're talking about LBJ breaking up teams, don't forget it was the Warriors who got Blat fired). LBJ>Steph. Buuuuut, we need not cast the Warriors and Steph in this basket of "Shouldn't/Couldn't/Wouldn't beat and will never beat LBJ" when they've already beaten LBJ. LBJ doesn't own the Warriors.

This all so damn convenient.

LBJ gets to the finals with a banged up squad in 2015. Since he wasn't favorited to win, the team who beat him and the best player on that team get no credit. The very next year LBJ comes with a healthy squad, and wins. And everything the warriors and Steph have done from 2014 til today is invalidated. Nevermind Dray missed a game. Nevermind Bogut being banged up. We really doing this...

:beli:

dray missed 1 game and Bogot was a non-factor and only their 4-5 best player. The Cavs would have won last year with just Kyrie but he played on the first game and love played none. The situations aren't equal. lebron was missing his 2nd and 3rd best players for basically the whole series.

Again, why are you brehs constantly trynna equate statin da obvious wit "casting shadows",etc.? :why:

And dis watering down attempt of dis new GS team summa y'all cats are doin is
kG9iTve.jpg
In which way did I water down this team?

:jbhmm:

All season all we've heard Warriors haters do is downplay their 72-9 record. Downplay Steph. Downplay Klay. Downplay Kerr. Downplay dray. If anything, it's been y'all who have been trying to water down the warriors to fit some sort of agenda. I think this new Warriors team might be one of the most stacked in history. But we should still let things play out, and give credit where credit is due, if they do beat LBJ. If LBJ is Top 3 all-time, and if Steph and KD are peons, than Shouldn't they get credit for knocking out god?

Man, didn't they still lose game 1 with Kyrie out there?

Part of why Cleveland did so well defensively against GS in 2015, was because Kevin and Kyrie were hobbled. You say Bogut was a non factor, well so was Kevin Love this year, and he probably would've been last year. Playing Tristan/Mosgov slowed the pace down, and have Cleveland a chance. There's no guarantee Kyrie would've played as great last year, as he did this year. We can play this game, and compare how missing players affected the series all night.

Durant was awesome in the '12 finals. one of the best performances you'll ever see from a losing team

If the Warriors get that in June he'll be crying for a different reason

He was putting up non-impactful ppg's and did little else outside of scoring. He was so bad that the Heat were trying and did, expose him with Mario Chalmers on isolation situations.

KD going to the Warriors because he wants to beat LeBron is a false narrative and a really corny one at that.

KD went to the warriors because his desire to play a better brand of basketball, grow as a player, and put himself in the absolute best situation to win overrode his desire to play 1 more season with knucklehead Westbrook on a team with no real structure or discipline.

It's that simple.

when both seems played healthy in the 214-2015 reg season, lebron/Cavs gave them that work

1) what you said may be true but EVERYTHING changed after that historic loss. Them getting Durant became more of an issue after not having enough to put the Cavs away.

2) I believe on Durant part he was ALWAYS planning on going to the Warriors and has admitted them losing to Bron helped make his decision look better. Now he can say he helped them get back thier championship from him.

its not that they didnt have enough, they just choked IMO..... but yea KD wanted this all along. probably why OKC had a subpar regular season, and lost the 3-1 lead because KD already had a foot out of the door and wasnt really there mentally or emotionally.

It went both ways. It was 50/50. LBJ haters loved the Warriors, Warriors haters loved LBJ.

:manny:

You're gonna act like half the Coli weren't making threads every week about some NBA legend crapping on The Warriors?

:jbhmm:

You're gonna act like they weren't tired of Jon B and Steph. Tired of seeing these light skinned dudes on TV?

:mjpls:

Tired if seeing White Steve Kerr take all the credit for Mark Jackson's work?

:mjpls:

Those who hated the Warriors tried to downplay them when they were whopping teams in the regular season and gunning for that Bulls record. And then Warriors haters and LBJ fans flipped the script when LBJ beat them in The Finals, to inflate LBJ's already legendary(I admit this myself) victory even more.

Now they're doing the same thing with this new Warriors squad, to preemptively downplay a potential Warriors victory/Cavs loss.

:ld:

Most of that is from the regular season tho....

We don't know how Klove or Kyrie would've held up for the duration of a 7game series. We saw that same Cleveland team, while healthy in the regular season get destroyed by the Warriors that year, and get destroyed by the Warriors again up until Draymond got suspended in the series clincher. Up until that point, Draymond had been doing a solid job on LBJ. Than LBJ went off in Game 5...and 6....and 7. But Game 4 was the catalyst. Bogut was just as much of a factor this year, as Klove was. While Bogut wasn't great, his absence meant more PT for Verajao. Which was a bad move, as Bogut is a better rim protector, and more effective in the GS offense. On the flipside, Kevin Loves absence gave PT to players who were more capable of matching GS both offensively and defensively(Tristan and Mosgov). Why can't we just admit both teams suffered bad injuries and suspension(s) at the most opportune time for their opponents?
