Mavs guard Jason Terry frustrated by LeBron's defense

The Mavericks were victim to the first surprise attack of the NBA Finals.
Now, they consider themselves prepared. It caught the Mavs off guard when the Heat put forward LeBron James on guard Jason Terry in the second half. After Terry had a solid first half, James helped hold him scoreless the remainder.
It was a big adjustment, something we weren't prepared for," Terry said. "We've seen it, we made our adjustment and we'll be prepared in Game 2."
In reality, the move should not have been much of a surprise. The Heat have utilized James' versatility all season, playing him against all five positions. He guarded Boston Celtics guard Rajon Rondo in the second round and Chicago Bulls guard Derrick Rose in the Eastern Conference finals.
With him, he has a size advantage and he uses his strength very well," Terry said. "But he's still quick. He's still quick enough to stay in front of you. But, again, this was the first time we've seen it against us. And so now we know what to do and made our adjustment. We'll see if it works."
The 6-foot-7 James has made it difficult when guarding shorter opponents.
You look at his body, he's amazing," Mavs forward Dirk Nowitzki said. "[James is] 6-8, 260 or whatever and he moves like a football running back. He can guard any position on the floor."
Mavs coach Rick Carlisle said better spacing and more screens could create space for Terry when guarded by James. That means they will have to do a better job with offensive execution, which they struggled with at times against the Heat's team defense.
"We've got to make sure that everybody is in the right place," Carlisle said. "It's difficult and they're paying (Terry) a high compliment by putting their best defensive player on him. And I think that's something that tells you how important they feel [Terry] is to us."
