I posted a thread about this which was bushed by a Kobe stan.

Seeing what LeBron is doing in these playoffs (and throughout the course of this season) is pretty eye-opening. He has actually improved as a jump shooter, which is hard to imagine. He can hit a mid-range fadeaway, pull up from three, catch and shoot, hit a soft floater and shoot off the dribble. He also does it at a high efficiency from close range. Kobe was known as a shooter, but I think it's more apt to call him a volume scorer. LeBron is actually putting up historical numbers.

In his 15th season, Kobe was shooting 32% from three and below 50% from two. LeBron is shooting 37% from three (on more attempts) and 60% from two. Even for his career average, LeBron is shooting at 34% from three to Kobe's 33%. LeBron actually shot above 40% from three for one season, whereas Kobe has never shot above 37% since his rookie season.

In the playoffs it gets worse, where Kobe is averaging below a 45 FG% compared to LeBron at around 50%. Kobe has averaged above 50% from 2 only one season in his career. LeBron's career average from two is at 53%.

Not trying to antagonize Kobe fans, but is it a reasonable argument to suggest that he is a better shooter than LeBron? Let me get a head of some of you and say that "he made tougher shots" is not a reasonable argument. Sure he made some very tough shots, but he didn't make them with a high degree of efficiency. LeBron is shooting at a good percentage while still getting his teammates involved as well. He's putting up 40 point games a la Jordan.

So Lebron is a more efficient three point shooter, a GOAT-tier player at getting to the rim (Even with teams constantly trying to take away his drive), and finishes at the rim like Shaq?

Lebron is a Shaq-tier finisher that can handle the rock and pass while being an efficient shooter from 3...this is your complaint? Who has ever argued that Lebron is better from midrange than Kobe? That's as stupid as saying Kobe is a better finisher at the rim or in the paint.
