Shaq and LeBron are much better players than Kobe ever was (by far too) , Kobe was still a better free throw shooter than both of them tho.

Maybe to analytics nerds who have never dribbled a basketball.

But to the NBA players and legends, its Kobe by a mile.

Kobe is almost UNANIMOUSLY the player's choice. PERIOD.

And the irony was MJ was one of the most cerebral shooters ever and almost always took the best shots possible. The super-difficult ones came when absolutely necessary...but all his imitators pretty much only looked at all of those ones.

Kobe would've been a lot better if he didn't chuck up so many long twos and dumb drives in traffic when teammates were open.

I would say 5-2 in NBA finals says otherwise. Kobe's playing style was more conducive for winning championships than Le3-5's style.

Don't make me go get them stats from before 2012 boy. Kobe was never clutch. He wasn't scared of the moment but he stayed missing game winners because he wanted to take bad shots.

Get whatever stats you want. I know what I saw. So did the rest of this generation. That's why Kobe is UNANIMOUSLY considered the most clutch player of his GENERATION by his peers.

Plus that 5-2 finals record shows he was clutch enough to win more championships than Le3-5.

Not reading all of that my g. Keep it short and simple to the point. The fact that you typed sooo much with so many different Smiley's, tells me you're too emotionally invested into this.

So you're running away from facts? Dude broke down LeBron's game and its ensuing problems for winning down brilliantly. If those smileys are a problem, here is the argument in concise form with no smiley.

LeBron's game is built more for getting him stats than it is for winning. Because he wants to dominate the ball so much and because he lacks a reliable outside jump shot, LeBron has reduced all of his talented teammates into being catch and shoot players. He needs them out of the paint so that he can drive to the basket to keep his FG% up. And he also makes them jump shooters because he pounds the ball for the entire shot clock before kicking it out to them with few little time on the clock making it either an assist for him or a miss.

Bron ball is about stats over winning. Which is why LeBron is a pathetic 3-5 in the NBA Finals over his career even though he is arguably the most physically talented player in NBA history and has had at least 2 All-Star teammates on his team going back to 2011.

For the record, Kobe went 2-1 in NBA finals with only 1 all-star beside him (Pau Gasol).

This man said who cares if he missed:mjlol:. The whole idea of being clutch is based upon your ability to MAKE the shot in late/close game scenarios. You're attempting to change the definition just to give Kobe credit for attempts. Kobe missed the vast majority of the time in late/close game situations. Meaning that the nikka isn't clutch. It's really that simple bruh. Take your fan bias out of it.

5-2 in NBA Finals vs 3-5 in NBA Finals.

Maybe taking a lot of game-winning shots and missing most of them is the way to go rather than being a p*ssy that runs away from the moment and passes it to Kyle Korver?

The proof is in the record. Kobe's way is the right way. LeBron's way is the wrong way. PERIOD.

Hero ball is 5-2 in championship series. Play the right way ball is 3-5. Not a coincidence. Life isnt always about making the right play. Many times you have to take a gamble to make shyt happen.

LeBron stans don't care about wins or losses. They're fantasy football nerds. They only attention to stats. I doubt they even watch the games.

Stop arguing with the Lethots about championships , Bron only wins 38% of the finals his in. They're not expecting him to win just like they don't expect him to make free throws late :ehh:

Bron Stans are playing not to lose.

nikkas get to the Finals and be like atleast we made it instead of playing to dominate and win. Loser mindset.

Kobe would have been wayyyy better if he didn't take shytty shots. The fact remains that he was so thirsty to be the man that he took bad shots and usually missed them in the clutch.

Maybe on the stat sheet but not when it comes to the ring count. His fearless attitude and mentality were a big reason he was so successful. If he was timid and passive like LeBron he would have had less rings.

LMAO @ THE THOUGHT OF KOBE BEING “WAYYYYY BETTER” ... WHAT U WANT, 10 STRAIGHT RINGS? KOBES ALREADY THE GOAT. 45% FROM THE FIELD IS EXCELLENT FOR A SHOOTING GUARD WHO MAINLY OPERATED FROM THE PERIMETER. ESPECIALLY WHEN HE WAS GUARDED THE WAY HE WAS. SAVE THEM “CLUTCH STATS” FOR YOUR MAMA:

And here's the thing the LeBron stans will never understand or they don't want to understand. Because Kobe operated out in the perimeter and took so many "difficult" shots, he allowed his bigs to play in the paint. He didn't need to be surrounded by shooters to let him get to the basket. Kobe was able to be successful taking higher degree of difficulty shots that let his teammates get easy shots in the paint and thus help make his team tougher to beat in the playoffs and finals when they played other elite teams.

LeBron's playing style allows him to get prettier stats but it hurts him when it comes to trying to win titles. Because he takes all the easy shots near the basket, he forces his teammates to take the more difficult shots (in the perimeter). And because he's relying on his teammates to always hit so many difficult shots from the outside, it eventually bites him the ass. Typically in the NBA finals because the East has been so weak for so long.

Jordan attempted 24,537 shots in his career and made 12,192:whoo:. Kobe has attempted
26,200 shots in his career and made 11,719 shots. This nikka shot more shots than Mike by almost 2,000 but still didn't make as many:gladbron:. This fakkit @Sccit tried to break it down like it was only one shot but I went and got the receipts.

Kobe Bryant Stats | Basketball-Reference.com

Now are you gonna ignore the fact Kobe took way more 3s which are lower percentage shot but because 3 is more than 2, it evens out after a while.

Points per Shot Attempt
is a more fair stat when trying to compare Kobe and Jordan's efficiency a scorers given the huge gap between the 2 in terms of 3-point attempts.

Kobe stans are mentally ill. They don’t understand objective reality.

All of their reasoning is inductive, meaning it starts at the presumption that “Kobe is the best”. This clouds everything they say and do. They don’t think analytically and come to deductive conclusions. Sad.

And what is wrong with that? Watching the games gives you infinitely more information than a stat sheet. I didn't choose Kobe to be the best a priori. I've watched basketball since 1997 and he's the best I've seen. The rest of the stuff (stats, titles, awards, etc.) is just superfluous. I make my judgments purely based on what I see. PERIOD.

The mistake you are making is you think you can objectively determine who is the best at basketball based on metrics. The stat sheet is like Sparknotes. Its gives you little bits of info on what happened in the game. However, it doesn't give you the complete story like actually watching the game does. Similarly, Sparknotes can never give you the same detail and knowledge reading the book actually does.

Now the counter to this would be that we all have different opinions based on the eye test so which one is right? Which is a good point. That is why we have to turn to the experts in the field (i.e. NBA players). The experts in basketball when it comes to who is the best are other professional basketball players. If nearly all NBA players are agreeing with you, then your eye test is correct. If they are almost all disagreeing with you, then your eye test is wrong. So when nearly every NBA players past and present says Kobe is better than LeBron and the best of his era (post-Jordan), I tend to trust my EYE TEST since I saw the same thing. Kobe is the best player since Jordan and definitely better than LeBron. PERIOD.
