He got beat by 2 journey man and never beat a great fighter in his prime

He had a great run his resume doesnt stack up to many others tho

He was great but nowhere near number 1

See yall dont kno boxing history so yall say dumb shyt like this

He had a glass chin

I would say he’s the greatest since Ali easy. At least since 1980. And the rest of the list (like Jack Johnson) is bull shyt and nothing but nostalgia. Jack Johnson fought nothing but washed up crackas back then. Highly doubtful he fought anyone as tough as Tyson.

That being said, Ali and Foreman could be his only real challengers. And I’m only 40 so that makes Lewis the best Heavy weight in my lifetime, with Holyfield a close second, Tyson 3rd

Lennox ain't number 1 on my list but he is an all time great and underrated by the masses cause of the two knockout losses he took. Even though he avenged both of them people still held it against him and acted like if he was touched he went down. When in all reality McCall and Rahman landed two perfectly placed punches that probably would have dropped most heavyweights.
Exactly. People are dumb. Heavy weights hit hard and can easy knock someone out, skill be dammed. I can never knock a heavy weight for getting knocked out by another heavyweight.

Lennox avenged all his losses and masterfully so. Just all around great fighter, both defensively and offensively. Also learned his opponents better than most boxers

I do think he is underrated, but I don’t think he is the top 2 Heavy Weight of all time.

Joe Louis and Ali should be based on any metric that counts either 1 or 2. Then Roc Marciano, but shyt you could put him in that argument as well. At 4 you could maybe make a argument for him against the other greats. Me personally I would put Holmes above him and Jack Johnson gets top 5 cause of everything he had to go through. So for me he couldn’t reasonably be around until 6, but if someone had him outside of 10 I wouldn’t be surprised.

Now if you wanted to argue he was the best in his era? Yes I would agree. He really did fight and beat them all except Bowe and he beat Golatta. He should be more famous, but he fought in Europe and even in 2021 they have issues promoting foreign fighters from Europe in the states. When he fought in the states he never had the best promotion, and he didn’t have a personality to draw in casual boxing fans. Also his fight’s weren’t exciting because he damn near has the best knockout power I’ve seen in the sport. He use to punish guys just using a jab and straight punch. Most people didn’t understand how that boring punch was hurting his opponents. It wasn’t a exciting knockout like Tyson or watching someone get worked over like Holyfield, or just a war like Riddikk.

How do you have Tyson ahead of Klitschko?

Well Klitschko is probably the better fighter but loses a few points for being a cac. :russ:

Naw real talk, Klitschko is likely higher than Tyson, but i think Tyson has more devastating array of punches and more amazing fights. Klitschko is a formidable fighter and easily the greatest white heavyweight ever

My brother's keeper
What are Lewis’ best victories? His era was pretty weak for heavyweights, yeah? Besides Tyson, who isn’t like top 10 boxers anyways
His era was weak? Lol so what was a strong era? Anyway, man had dudes throwing belts in the bushes not to fight him.
