This is also gonna be a hard year to land coaches because of so many vacancies. Obviously LSU is a great opening, but they might have to pay a higher price because the Coach could get leverage from a USC or Miami offer:yeshrug:

I'll never like Les Miles bc I'm a Sooner, but I'm glad he kept his job. He seems like a guy who his players genuinely care about.

And that's not the case on every team

It was the fact that it was an emotional decision to think to let him go at first, and when you look at the w's MONEY, LSU NFL players, and good branding les has brought to lsu, you cannot risk that guy going to another SEC school or Texas and building it up.

You just can't


Yes you can..... He's 62.... There wasn't a good reason to fire him to begin with to be honest.... but the fact that the upper brass let him toll in the wind and let the media play fancy with his ego until the final hour, leads me to believe that LSU moneyholders could not land the coach of their wanting...
