This is how i feel about it.

As much as i dont like Michigan, if they offered me the head coaching gig there........:patrice:
More than just that tho, it was his Dream Job. Somebody was saying his office at Oklahoma St was 75% Maize & Blue.

I couldn't imagine being a head coach, having a chance to get the USC gig and passing on it.

apparently, they decided to not fire dude in the 3rd Q:dead:

Les Miles has been good to media all these years, and it paid off for him:wow: dude is likeable and fans supported dude, and it would made LSU look bad...

this makes the AD look terrible(which he is)

Alleva really show his ass with this one. And I know damn well he didn't have a replacement ready. Look at VaTech, they reported the Fuente hiring earlier in the afternoon.

That's really what it is. The crowd yelling we want Les didn't help either
This was a weird situation... how do you fire a coach that hasn't loss the team. None of the players turned on him or want him gone. Every issue LSU has can be fixed. It mind of reminds me of when Michigan fired Lloyd Carr and in the bowl game they unleashed a high powered offense and neat the breaks off Florida... but the coach was already fired and UM fell off with the fancy new coach. Firing the coach isn't always the answer. But the Miles gotta stop being so stubborn and open it up the same way Carr did, start developing or recruiting qbs that fit the system the team is running, beat Baja and Arkansas and life will be good.

I call bull, they must've wanted Les to quit where they wouldn't owe the full buyout price. If he's smart he'll flip this into a raise or a higher paying gig

His job shouldn't have been at stake anyway. He's had to much success to just be fired. Now maybe he needs to overhaul his staff and bring in an innovative offensive mind to open up things on that end of the field. But he should be given that chance instead of just being fired after winning all the games he has won there.
