shyt, I think I took the same part in the AZ Mo Money beat. But I just added way more vocal chops in mine. Just make it however you want. Don’t worry too much about not trying to take the same parts or having it sound similar. You just learning so it’s more important to just complete beats. At some point, you’ll be able to make 3 beats that sound different with the same sample and it will be easy.

Drop something else to flip. Make this a booth sample challenge thread where anyone can jump in and post they flip. Sample challenge is a good way to get your sampling/chopping and beat making skills up.

Good shyt breh. Yeah man, put it all together. That groove on the first clip is nice. I say turn down the hat/cymbal sound sound cause it was a little too loud when it came in.

And yeah, whatever technique you use is the right one. Everyone makes beats differently. It sound like you making the melody and percussion separate, then gonna layer them together. I can’t make beats like that lol. But I know people who literally draw everything out and I can’t make beats like that either. I have to play it together. Like after I get my chops, I play that and add my drums, kicks, snares, live and record it. But that’s my technique. However you do it, just perfect your workflow so you can start banging beats out. Finish that one up. That’s always the goal in the beginning...to finish the beat

Bet breh. When I play with pitch, the bpm changes when you go to low or high. How do I detect the bpm on it?
