The flashback was needed because it will lead to the Terminus people being cannibals. The flashbacks was basically showing that Rick group was able to eat by farming and raising pigs at the prison.

While this sick Terminus group are staying alive by eating people.

Once Rick group overthrow the Terminus leaders next season. They will show the rest of the Terminus people to farm. Instead of being cannibals to survive.

The show hasn't fallen off, at all. Each season has improved and kept the spirit of the comic alive and well. It's a show about Zombies. What the hell do you expect? That have to keep the writing simple and to the point. It has too big of an audience (especially the younger crowd) to start bringing in Breaking Bad/Wire type writing.

How does this make sense when the first season was the best so far?

Season 2 was bad, Season 3 was average, and this season has been average with some pretty good episodes sprinkled in...

It's kinda funny all the hate for this season, it's actually the closest in tone to the comics.

I didn't read the comics but I think this has been the 2nd best season overall.

I mean there was some bullshyt here and there, but it wasn't as bad as the previous 2 seasons. I commend them for diving into the character development more this time around... with that said, I thought the finale was a let down.

I know yal might have liked the scene where Rick & Co. took out the goons, but I think it would have been far more interesting if that group would have made it to Terminus. I would have loved to see their reaction to those weirdos.

And @ all those skeletons that were sitting in that one scene while the crew was running through that place. These people been eating real good off of folks for a while now. And the writers are going to need that whole break to come up with how they'll get out of this situation that isn't status.

I'm willing to give em the benefit of the doubt, but I tend to believe it's going to have to be some complete bullshyt for them to get away alive right now. But I know it's gonna happen and I'll be watching.
